Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Casual dresses (think sundresses, but for fall weather), skirts and blouses, or slacks and blouses. Slacks and button ups (flannel encouraged), ties and/or suit jackets optional. Zola has a good explainer article for smart casual: https://www.zola.com/expert-advice/casual-wedding-attire-guide Practical considerations: The ceremony and reception will all be outside, so dress comfortably for the weather. Bring cozy layers like sweaters, shawls, scarves, and jackets. In addition, pointy heels will likely get stuck in the ground, so flats or boots are recommended.

Question

Who took all those beautiful photos on your website?

Answer

Unless otherwise noted, Lisa's brother, Jeff Charron! He's an amateur photographer focusing on landscapes and macro images. He lives in Burlington, VT, so many of his photos feature Vermont's amazing natural wonders. Check out his instagram, @serenityphotogallery, for all his latest photos.

Question

What the heck is Redwood Camp?

Answer

Lisa's parents bought Redwood Camp in Fall of 2019. Before that, it had been owned by the same family for many decades. The property is comprised of 5 acres of late succession white cedar forest and meadows, with 450 feet of Lake Champlain shoreline. The photo at the top of the page shows one of the many beautiful sunsets to be seen from the camp. Notable wildlife spotted so far include ospreys, bald eagles, great blue herons, lots of geese, and a moose! The camp also has a rustic 2-bedroom cabin with a small kitchen, bathroom, and wood stove. Lisa's parents have been making improvements since Spring 2020 and will continue to do so until the celebration. Planned or completed improvements include digging a well for potable water (!), internet access, re-building the large decks and porches, building an outdoor shower, and putting in a dock. And no, there are no redwood trees standing on the property. The cabin itself is built out of redwood logs!
