Our Story

We met freshman year of college at UCA. Hunter was a Kappa Sigma, and I was a Delta Zeta so our paths crossed many times. Finally, Hunter asked me on a date to cookies and ice cream then asked me to be his girlfriend on 5/20/15! He transferred to Fayetteville for Fall 2016 so we have been enduring long distance ever since. We are so excited to get to start our lives together!

The Propsal

Hunter gave me a small brass box with a lock on it in January 2019. To my unhappiness, he told me he was not giving me the key just yet. But I was to carry this box every where I went. He made sure I did by asking for random pictures with the box through out the weeks. By Valentine’s Day, I was sure he would give me the key, but he didn’t. I was over this darn little box. Fast forward to March 22nd, I was leaving at 4am the next morning to go on a cruise with my family but he insisted we go to dinner. I was begging to stay home in my yoga pants so I could get to bed early but eventually gave in. He picked me up and told me to close my eyes because he was surprising me where we went for dinner (this was normal for us so I didn’t think anything about it). I had that darn box with me like I was told as he drove. When we stopped, he helped me out of the truck, eyes still closed, and guided me until he told me to stand in a certain spot. He then told me to turn around and open my eyes. He was down on one knee with a ring box open. Inside the ring box was a key. I smiled now knowing what the key was for. He let me unlock the small brass box and inside was my ring. He got down on a knee again and asked me to be his wife!!! I could not have asked for a more special and thought out propsal from the man I love so much!
