It all began high above the clouds, on a plane from Boston Logan to Miami International. Lior and Alex locked eyes across the aisle, not knowing that this fleeting moment would be the start of a lifelong adventure. Both were heading to a four day spring break cruise to the Bahamas, and Alex kicked things off in true Alex fashion—losing his birth certificate but somehow still managing to board the ship. Fate, however, wasn’t ready to set sail just yet. They went their separate ways after the cruise, but destiny had other plans. Fast forward to the Spring Concert right before graduation. Amidst music, laughter, and a vibrant college crowd, Alex and Lior reconnected and began getting to know one another. From cutting lines at the local bars and exploring the sights around campus to countless late nights in the library cramming for finals, a connection began to grow. After graduation, life pulled them to different states, but the distance only strengthened their bond. That summer was a blur of visits, from 4th of July parties in Norwalk, Blind Rhino dart games in SONO, eating and drinking their way up the beaches in Gloucester. The season ended with an unforgettable trip to Block Island, a tradition they’ve cherished every summer since. Before long, Alex landed a job in Boston and moved to the city, bringing them closer together. Their journey wasn’t without its ups and downs—they dated, took a brief break, and ultimately found their way back to each other. Over the past seven years, they’ve shared incredible adventures, from a three-week European escape through Barcelona, Ibiza, Paris, and London to shredding powder in Banff, Revelstoke, and iconic resorts across the Rockies like Aspen, Breckenridge, and Vail. They have managed to take 3 trips to Israel to visit the iconic sites, and introduce Alex to Lior's extended family. During the pandemic, they chose to be closer to family and settled in Jersey City, where they fell in love with the energy of New York City, formed lasting friendships, and created memories they’ll treasure forever. When Lior was accepted into graduate school, they made their way back to Boston, where their story had first taken root. After getting engaged, Alex and Lior joined the warm and welcoming community of Kehillat Israel in Brookline, further enriching their journey together. From that first glance on a plane to building a life filled with love, adventure, and tradition, Alex and Lior can’t wait to write the next chapter of their story as husband and wife.
