Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends standing with us on our big day!

Megan Moncion

Maid of Honor

Linsey and I met when our moms bumped into each other while walking us in our strollers down Crabtree Lane.  From that moment, I spent my childhood doing everything with Linsey. We loved to go camping, play dress up, sing and dance, have sleepovers, and much more.  Beyond childhood, Linsey and I remained friends throughout our teenage years of learning to drive and put on makeup, and blabbing about boys (mostly about Linsey’s huge crush on Matt in the 6th grade). Into adulthood, Linsey is still my best friend even though we live in different states and don’t get to spend as much time together. Through the good times and the hard times, Linsey has been by my side during every important moment of my life, and I’m so honored to stand by her side as maid of honor on her wedding day!

Erica Palise

Bridesmaid / Sister of the Bride

I’m so incredibly lucky to have Linsey as my sister: She gives great advice on anything from stress to fashion (which, in the opinion of many, I sorely need), and she always tries to make me feel better when I am upset even from the other side of the country. Im always so proud of her, telling everyone I meet about how MY sister went to grad school and got the best grades out of anyone. I will always be her "mini me" and am excited to stand by her on her big day!

Megan Roy

Bridesmaid/ Future Sister in Law

Linsey and I met when I was a freshman in high school and she was a junior. Her and Matt started dating their Junior year and she has been there for my family ever since! A huge kudos to Linsey for putting up with Matt and I’s stupid jokes for so long. I am so excited to be a part of this special day and even more excited to gain a new sister! Love you Lins!

Miranda Geisinger

Bridesmaid

Linsey is one of my oldest and greatest friends, and our experiences shared over the years are irreplaceable. When we were young, we used to do almost everything together. So many nights were spent having sleepovers where we would make up games or create characters to record elaborate talk shows. We would make snow forts, go camping, get together for early breakfasts before school, and help each other study for our shared classes. Linsey even inspired me to learn how to play the piano, and that led to us rehearsing and performing duets together. We have made infinite memories, from kindergarten through college and all of life's changes. It means so much to me that our friendship is one of the special ones that lasts. I’m absolutely overjoyed to join Linsey on her wedding day.

Megan Smith

Bridesmaid

Linsey and I met 20 years ago in kindergarten. Through the years, we had so many great experiences and memories. I still remember standing in Central Middle School’s parking lot talking about how much Linsey liked some guy named Matt Roy. Little did I know, over a decade later, I would be standing in their wedding. From prom, to New Years Eve parties, trips to Indy to watch Matt play hockey, or spring break in the Caribbean, we had great memories, some of which we remember better than others😉. I cannot wait to be a part of your special day and seeing what the future holds for The Roys. ❤️

Paige Pascarella

Bridesmaid

Linsey and I met 22 years ago through our older brothers. We thought it would be funny to trick people into thinking we were twins growing up because we had such a strong resemblance. Well, the funny joke soon backfired because we have been inseparable ever since! Through the decades there have been many laughs, adventures, Taco Bell runs, far too many Arnold Palmers, and many miles that tried to separate us. I think it is safe to say that my “twin” and I will be by each other’s side until the end of time!

Sabrina Legace

Bridesmaid

Our friendship began in our freshman year at GVSU in Chemistry class. True chemistry it was as somehow she didn’t run for the hills when she had a chance. Sophomore year I joined Linsey’s sorority and not only did we become closer as friends, but we became sisters. Early that year we decided to take our relationship to the next level and become roommate’s junior year, which changed my life forever. We stayed up late studying our butts off (because some day someone was going to let us become a Nurse and an OT), and doing anything but studying (this will remain rated G), and in the glow of our air freshener Christmas tree we became sista-soulmates. I am ecstatic to see Linsey marry the love of her life (even if it means she’s stuck far away from me forever).

Chris Roy

Best Man

Chris is my older brother and somebody that I have looked up to my entire life. I was always trying to fit in with him and his friends and play sports with them. I grew up watching him play hockey which inspired and led me to the career I have now. Chris is still an inspiration to me as he now works as a firefighter in Ann Arbor. I couldn’t ask for a more supportive brother and that support certainly extends from me to Linsey.

Joe Palise

Groomsman

Joe is Linsey's older brother. I consider myself lucky to have Joe as a brother-in-law because from day one he has shown me nothing but respect and kindness. I look forward to having him be a part of my family for the many years to come!

Zach Gambrell

Groomsman

Zach has been a friend of mine since I was seven. We started playing hockey together for the Canton Crush. We lived right by each other so we were constantly hanging out with one another. In the summers we played on the same baseball team and eventually played in a golf league together. Some of my favorite memories were in that league… every Wednesday morning we would shank the ball and get yelled at for playing hockey on the practice greens. As time went on and we played on different sports teams, we naturally drifted a bit but we reunited when I transferred back to to Canton High School. Linsey, Zach and I ate lunch together every day. From then on, I wasn’t just friends with Zach but Linsey had become part of that too. Linsey and I are very grateful for Zach and his family.

Dylan Steman

Groomsman

Dylan was one of three roommates I had freshman year at Michigan Tech. Since then we grew our friendship through our hockey, nights on the town in Houghton, golf, tennis, guitar, etc. I’d say we share a similar mindset and interests other than the fact that he LOVES to talk! I think we really became close after I totaled his car… but that’s a story for another time!

Dane Birks

Groomsman

Where to begin… Dane was also one of three roommates I had freshman year at Michigan Tech. When he first came in, we had polar opposite personalities and I thought I was going to be in for a long four years with him. Once the year began though, we became super close and ended up staying roommates for all three years I was at Michigan Tech. I honestly can’t think of what to write because I have had too many funny and great experiences with Dane.

Cal Petersen

Groomsman

I met Cal in the summer right after he signed with the LA Kings a few years ago. We seemed to hit it off well because the next season we were roommates while playing our rookie seasons with the Ontario Reign (LA’s minor league team). Cal was nice enough to let me bring our new dog, Kenni, to the house for visits and even tried teaching her a few tricks…in Spanish. Even though that didn’t work, Cal has become The Godfather to Kenni. We essentially did everything together for two seasons and we both advanced our careers into the NHL together. Cal is an easy-going guy that can make any room laugh and can dance to just about any song. My professional experience wouldn’t be nearly as good as it is without Cal.

Shane Hanna

Groomsman

Shane was my Defense Partner all three years I played at Michigan Tech. He was a year above me and took me under his wing in hockey. Without him I wouldn’t have the hockey career that I have now and I am very grateful for him. Shane is a soft spoken guy that has my back, loves hiking and, most importantly, loves his dog, Cesar!
