Best Man
Andy is Dave's brother and former high school teammate, roommate, co-founder of Sunday Night Basketball, and forever video game adversary. When they lived together in D.C. they were once voted best Halloween costume at a party -- going as "H1 & N1" -- except there was no party and they simply had swine flu. When Andy was a journalist at Politico, Dave was famously Andy's most quoted "anonymous Democratic source."
Matron of Honor
Erin and Lindsey perfected the use of wrinkle release in collegiate golf and dining hall vegetarianism at Illinois Wesleyan and have been best friends ever since. They are founding members of a craft club and at any given restaurant, have a psychic ability to know exactly what two things to order and split on the menu.
Groomsman
Affectionately known as "Mid-Range No-Game Meissner," Andrew famously never hit a shot inside the 3-pt line during Sunday night basketball games at Dave's parent's house in high school. Most importantly, Andrew shares Dave's belief that the Arizona Cardinals were robbed of a Super Bowl in 2009 and will never forget Santonio Holmes' 2nd foot was out of bounds. Seriously, look it up.
Bridesmaid
Lindsey and Sofia bonded as kids eating french fries and watching Maury after swim practice. Despite the endless hustle and bustle of Crete, IL, they managed to develop an encyclopedic knowledge of mildly popular 80s and 90s movies that remains incredibly useful to this day.
Groomsman
Lindsey isn't the only forever friend Dave made in Edinburgh back in 2007... Dave met Will (aka "British Will") on the University of Edinburgh’s lacrosse team where Will – as the player/coach – was never able to convince Dave to show up to practice. Despite Dave’s insubordination, the two bonded over Will’s passion for forcibly associating all the annoying and stupid things US tourists do with Dave. The two have patiently traveled together to 13 countries.
Bridesmaid
Cortney and Lindsey became friends as benchwarmers on an overly competitive 11 year old travel softball team. In high school, they almost unknowingly smuggled Cortney’s ferret into softball practice, and today, they both a thing for guys named Dave.
Groomsman
Will is Dave's first golf coach, a hall of fame Sunday Night Basketballer, and co-founding member of the Paradise Valley vigilante night golf league. When they weren't writing poetry during statistics class or at practice, you could probably find them en route to a buffet in Will's Mom's wood-paneled mini-van.
Bridesmaid
Maureen and Lindsey set unbreakable Marian Catholic softball bench press records in high school and lived together after college. Maureen is still ‘borrowing’ about 2/3 of Lindsey’s Friends DVDs and has lived in San Francisco for the last 7 years so she doesn’t have to give them back.
Groomsman
A friendship built on a foundation of lies, Dave sold Ben on transferring to Whittier based on its premier beach location (its 30 min away with no traffic...). Despite its shaky foundation, the two quickly bonded over games of Madden and NHL Hitz. More importantly, as teammates on Whittier's lacrosse team Ben absolutely never beat Dave one-on-one. Ever.
Bridesmaid
Cristin and Lindsey are cousins and along with Jennie Haines, have authored countless off-broadway Haines family Christmas play productions. They have excellent taste in stuffed animals and are part of a record setting Lincoln Oaks scramble team.
Groomsman
Matt and Dave first met at a club lacrosse tournament where they formed their first pact to not try super hard. As fate would have it, they both ended up teammates in college, where that verbal contract extended into countless practices. Off the field, they watched all Suns/Warriors and Cardinals/49ers games together... But back in the glory days of Kurt Warner and Steve Nash.
Bridesmaid
Jennie and Lindsey are cousins and once unofficially won Lincoln Oaks Ladies League Margarita Night. Jennie holds the prestigious position of ‘five golden rings’ in the 12 Days of Christmas and once narrowly avoided a concussion to make a game-saving play in rec softball.

Once on a trip to Scotland, Emily developed a mastery of British Apples to Apples and became an inaugural patron of ‘Overder Tours.’
Groomsman
Alex and Dave met the first day of law school orientation and quickly bonded over taunting overeager classmates. Since the first days of criminal law, they've taken over a high school lacrosse program, played a ton of ping pong, and enjoyed many weekday matinee movies on holidays that only they -- as government employees have off... (looking at you Pulaski day).
Bridesmaid
Brandi is married to Dave’s brother Andy and has also had many good naps ruined by Cardinals-turnover-induced shouting. When she worked in the White House, Brandi was this close to getting President Obama to play in the Squirrel Scramble at Lincoln Oaks.
Groomsman
As the world record holder for most 30-packs carried to a party at one time, Alec's strength and fearlessness makes him a 1st round pick in 2020's draft. Testing off the charts in the usher combine, Alec will relentlessly direct guests, ensure safe passage from the park to the library, and tear up any and all dance floors.
Usher
As a career educator, Conner honed his elite crowd herding skills on the school grounds. Son of legendary horse trainer, Cam Schryver, Conner isn't afraid to crack the whip on lollygagging guests in between the ceremony and cocktail hour. Pro-tip: If you love amazing jokes and need a laugh... Conner is your guy.
Officiant
Luke is the most official person Lindsey and Dave know. He’s also married to Erin, the Matron of Honor. Luke has a an epic t-shirt collection and an unrivaled ability to make friends with all the regulars at any given dive bar.
Best Dog
Waverly is the best dog in the whole world. She loves hiking, napping, eating snacks and once (hmm...more than once) convinced Dave to pet her for three straight hours.
Not the Best Dog
Fergus is not the best dog in the whole world, but under Waverly's mentorship, he's learning. He's Lindsey's running buddy and is lucky he is cute.
