FAQs

We're doing our best to anticipate your questions so here's some stuff you might want to know.
Question

How do you pronounce Wankewycz?

Answer

"Von-KEV-itch"

Question

What's the parking situation?

Answer

There is free parking at the American Swedish Institute but we recommend getting a taxi, Uber, or Lyft because it can be difficult to get in and out of this part of town.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button won't button - don't sweat it.

Question

Are the Ceremony, Reception and Dance in the same place?

Answer

Yep. Most of this shindig will happen in the outdoor courtyard of the American Swedish Institute. Once the sun goes down you can head inside to dance the night away, stay outside to play yard games under the patio lights, or have a seat next to the bonfire pit and relax.

Question

Should I stretch before this thing?

Answer

Ya. You should stretch. We've got games, competition, and serious dancing on the agenda. Plus, everyone we've invited is wonderful, so conversation should be top notch. You're gonna want to stay loose.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But this is an adults-only jam.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
