It all started at a little place called RR Donnelley, where Lindsey worked swing shift at the front desk, and Seamus worked graveyards in customer service. Lindsey noticed Seamus because of his interesting name, and caught a glimpse of his baby blues from time to time. After a few months of being ships passing in the night, Lindsey moved up to the San Francisco office. About 6 months later, Seamus needed a 'change of scenery' and schedule, and made the move up to the SF office. It was then that they were both on the same daytime schedule, allowing free afternoons for post-work socializing. Their first formal encounter (besides Lindsey always making sure to order Seamus some food for his graveyard shift), was very awkward indeed. Lindsey knew Seamus was coming up to start working in SF, as there was a buzz in the office about it. When he came in, she showed him to his desk and went in for a welcome high-five. Seamus reached out both arms, presumably for a hug, which Lindsey was definitely open to. But when she switched arm positions, Seamus put one arm down to accept the high-five. This strange dance went on for about a minute, over someone else's desk no less, and they settled for a hug. Then Lindsey ran back to her desk as fast as possible. Fast forward a couple months, the social outings began, and soon enough they were finding excuses to be out later with each other; Lindsey primping in the bathroom before going out, and Seamus offering her a ride to the train to get home. Seamus took Lindsey to her first NFL game, to see the Raiders of course, and was patient in explaining the entire game throughout the night. It was pouring down rain so Seamus bought giant silver and black ponchos, which they still rock on occasion. The Raiders won the game, and Lindsey and Seamus were on the way to winning each other's hearts. Their first official date was the day before Thanksgiving 2014, at Johnny Foleys in the city. And the rest, is history.
