If possible, the easiest travel option is to fly directly into Tijuana International Airport (TIJ). If that doesn’t work due to timing or cost, you can also fly into San Diego International Airport and take a rideshare to the San Ysidro Port of Entry (720 E San Ysidro Blvd, San Diego, CA 92173) to walk across the border. Once you’ve booked your flight, please send us your itinerary so we can coordinate your pickup—whether from the TJ airport or San Ysidro—and make your arrival as smooth and seamless as possible!
Everyone entering Mexico—whether by air or land—must complete the Official Entry Immigration Form (FMM), also known as the Tourist Card. • It’s free, fast, and can be completed online: https://www.inm.gob.mx/fmme/publico/en/solicitud.html • You’ll need your passport and travel details. • Once submitted, print your FMM and bring it with you.
Whether entering Mexico or returning to the U.S., border agents may request to search your phone or laptop—this is legally permitted without a warrant. While it’s rare, we recommend: • Traveling with minimal electronic devices. If possible, avoid bringing laptops, as they may be subject to import taxes unless properly declared in advance. If you do need to bring a laptop, just let us know—we’re happy to share the steps to help you avoid any unexpected charges at the border. • Backing up your phone, deleting private information, and logging out of or deleting applications before travel • Turn off biometric login • Use printed boarding passes • Being prepared to unlock your device if asked
Rosarito has its own ride share service called Eiby. The app is available for download on Google Play or Apple App Store.
