Hotel
This hotel is where our lunch Reception will be held. It is approximately a 15 minute walk to the Yosemite Chapel
Hotel
Curry Village has more of a "glamping" feel to it with canvas tent rooms and cabins. This is the more affordable option if wanting to stay inside the Valley.
House Or Rental
Airbnb's (or Vrbo) are an option for a potentially those wanting a low-fare lodging option. We suggest any of these cities to stay at: Yosemite West, Fish Camp, Oakhurst, Mariposa. Yosemite West is technically located inside the Yosemite Park with gps stating a 30min drive to the chapel. Fish Camp and Oakhurst (between a 1.25-1.5 hour drive to the Yosemite Chapel) have hotels/motels off of Highway 41. This would be on the way to Yosemite from those who are flying into Fresno Airport. If you choose to stay outside the park but want more of a vibrant, old-time, rustic charm then Mariposa would be great. It is roughly 1.25 hours away from the Chapel, however if it a bit off from Highway 41. Anyone staying at an airbnb, gps may say one thing but from experience allow upwards of 2 hours to get in due to gate admittance, parking, and floor traffic.
Flight
Fresno airport is the closest airport to Yosemite, it is still a two-hour drive to Yosemite National Park. A rental car will be needed, please chat with other invited family to see about traveling together to split and make costs more affordable.
Travel Note
To enter Yosemite National Park, it is a one-time admittance fee of $35 per car which is good for 7 days. A "America the Beautiful" Pass will let you in for free ($80 and valid for all national parks for one year). Reservations are no longer required to enter Yosemite National Park, but a entrance fee is still required. Credit cards are the only payment accepted at the entrance gates. You can pre-purchase a ticket at the attached link.
