If you’re spending more time on the Cape, be sure to check out Falmouth—home to the groom’s family’s Cape house. Just about an hour from Wequassett, it’s a great place to explore either on your way to the venue or heading home. Stroll through its lively downtown with year-round restaurants and shops, or stop by local breweries, wineries, beautiful beaches, and more.

Thoreau’s is a cozy bar and small restaurant tucked into the Main Inn at Wequassett, named after Henry David Thoreau. It offers a great bar menu and a wide selection of martinis and specialty cocktails. Reservations recommended if dining.
The Sill is Wequassett’s coffee shop, espresso bar, and bakery—drawing inspiration from the myth that Henry David Thoreau once snatched pies from his neighbors’ window sills. It’s known for great coffee, gourmet donuts, and fresh pastries.
