What should I pack?

Answer

For the welcome party-this does not need to be fancy, enjoy dressing for the warm weather of a beach resort: dresses, shorts, skirts, etc! For the wedding-beach formal-light, flowy, linen pants, no jackets or ties necessary. We want everyone to be comfortable and ready to celebrate! Tips: comfy clothes for morning exploring, beach wear, evening dinner outfits for your other nights! A few restaurants do require men to wear pants Don't forget your sunscreen and bug spray! These are expensive to get more of on the resort!

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Dress for the Tropics! We want everyone to be comfortable: think light, airy, flowing dresses, linen slacks, no jackets needed. We can't wait to celebrate with you.

What should I do when I get there?

Answer

We recommend packing a personal item you can carry with you while they take your bags and get your room ready! Be ready to enjoy the amenities! You can grab a bite to eat and start lounging by the beach or pool! Please also let Lindsey and Trey know when you arrive so we can come and see you and get you a welcome bag!

What is the wedding schedule you all didn't send an invitation!

Answer

Something we have adjusted to throughout the planning process is a slow response time. We are still waiting on some exact details, so please look out for texts from Text My Group and this website. There will be an itinerary in your welcome bag!

Will we all eat all our meals together?

Answer

There will be about 40 wedding guests for the weekend and while we would love to all be together all the time, this is not possible with the restaurants and our group size. We plan on spending time with people at the beach and pool during the day as well as trying to share extra meals with as many groups of friends and family as possible! There are tons of restaurants and bars to explore and try and if something interests you go for it! They have many cuisines and experiences.

Is there a way I can get familar with the resort before?

Answer

There is an app called the Excellence Collection. After downloading, select Excellence Resorts, Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres. It will ask you to sign in, just select cancel. This will allow you to explore the entertainment, restaurants, spa, etc.

What all is included in my room price?

Answer

This is an all inclusive resort, so your room price includes all of your food and drinks. This includes 24 hour room service and your room mini bar. There are numerous restaurants on the property as well as bars, a cafe, a smoothie bar, etc! There are some experiences and a restaurant you can add for a fee, but we found that we enjoyed ourselves without them!

Is Mexico safe?

Answer

Yes! Lindsey has stayed at the Excellence Resorts twice at different properties and Jermontra has stayed once. We felt comfortable the entire time and were so impressed by the resort and all of their amenities. We find them to go above and beyond!

Can I bring my children?

Answer

While we love you and your whole family, this is one of the Excellence Collections adults only properties so no one under the age of 18 can come.

What do I do about transportation if I stay less than 3 nights?

Answer

Let Trey or Lindsey know! We are trying to work something out with the resort, but if that does not work we will still have you book the resorts transportation and then get you reimbursed.

Do I need to stay a certain amount of nights?

Answer

No. While we think its a wonderful way to add on a little vacation for yourself, there is no minimum night requirement! We will have a welcome event on Friday evening and then the wedding ceremony with reception to follow on Saturday starting at 3pm! Trey and I will be there from 03/25-3/30. We are so excited to spend time with family and friends from the 25th to the 30th!

Should I book an Excellence Club room?

Answer

Pick whatever room works best for you! While the Excellence Club has some perks(extra pools, beach cabanas, speakeasy and a restaurant) there is no shortage of fun and relaxation without it.

If I stay longer what can I do?

Answer

The resort has many amenities in addition to the pool and beach such as tennis, pickleball, water aerobics, classes, fitness center, included water sports, nightly entertainment and excursions you can pay to add.
