We're Getting Married!

David and Lindsey met while attending a Kenny Chesney concert on July 3rd, 2009 at Summerfest. They each went with a group of friends who were meeting up with each other, but the two had not yet been introduced. They hit it off and in the Fall of their senior year of high school, David and Lindsey remained great friends and went to DSHA and Marquette High Homecomings together - Shark Week theme and iPod Shuffle theme. They didn’t keep in touch through college, but in the Summer of 2015, David was competing in the Amato Triathlon on Okauchee Lake and Lindsey was volunteering there and that was that! Since then, they spent every weekend together, whether it was in Milwaukee, Chicago, Minneapolis, or California. In that time, they fell in love and the rest is history!

On a Holzhauer / Foley family ski trip in Utah, Lindsey was so excited that David was coming along with them for the first time! David had planned on asking Lindsey on the mountain while they were skiing, but after his backpack with the ring in it got caught and almost dragged away on the chairlift, David came up with a second plan. At the end of the day, the two of them snuck away to the wine bar at the St. Regis in Deer Valley for some quality time away from the group. They stepped outside to overlook the mountains when David proposed! They got back to the group and celebrated the night away!
