FAQs

Question

When will we be able to get into the venue?

Answer

The venue will not allow anyone but the wedding party in before 6 PM.

Question

Should we bring masks?

Answer

The venue lifted all mask requirements so do what you feel most comfortable with.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We're keeping this fairly small so if not explicitly stated in your invite, we would like you to not bring dates. You can always ask though.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Park in the parking garage across from the science center. Your GPS will likely steer you there anyway.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

semi-Formal

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We're asking for money only. We have had a home for more than 2 years but we would love to have some help paying for our eventual honeymoon.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The venue will not allow you in until 6 pm. We'll start the ceremony at 6:10 pm to allow everyone to get comfortable.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a hotel block at the Wyndham Garden near universal. Refer to the travel page for instructions on booking that rate. I do reccomend Hilton by seaworld and any of the disney hotels if you do not want to use the hotel we got discounted. Some of the families with kids may want to consider the Floridays as the suites start at 2 bedrooms and looks like it will be around 170 a night in October.

Question

What alcohol will be available and is it a cash bar?

Answer

It is an open bar but the bartenders will cut you off if you get too tipsy. There will be 2 signature cocktails and beer. Please plan for a DD or order an Uber/Lyft back to the hotel. Also please bring cash to tip the servers and bartenders if they do a great job. We will tip some but these people make their living doing a hard job for low pay.

Question

I'm vegetarian what should I do?

Answer

Tell me if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions like vegetarianism. A few people are getting vegetarian meals so I will only order that for those people. Please give me a heads up so I can find you a meal that meets your needs.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July. If we can't count you in we can't order enough food. If you do RSVP late, bring a sandwich and a chair.

Question

When is dinner?

Answer

dinner will likely start around 830. Cocktail hour will have appetizers though. cocktail hour is expected to last from 6:30 to 7:30.

Question

What are you doing about covid?

Answer

We're leaving it up to you. We reccomenbd vaccination but some will be unvaccinated. Nick and I are vaccinated. Wear a mask if you want. Try to keep your distance if you want. We will not be offended if you decide it's safer not to come. Please decide this by the time to RSVP though.

Question

what should we call the bride?

Answer

I have decided to keep my last name officially because it's easiest with my degrees and certifications/licenses. You can call me Lindsay Wright or Lindsay White but legally I will remain Lindsay White.

Question

Will there be any way to see it if we stay home?

Answer

There will be. A company called Omarvelous Productions will be livestreaming and recording the ceremony and big reception events. send me your email if you want to be included in that list to see the livestream or recording.
