What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Mid-September is typically warm here! It will likely be between 70-90°F. Rain is unlikely, but check the weather the week of for a better idea.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are at the Balinese Ballroom in Downtown Memphis. See the schedule tab for more info. The ceremony will take place downstairs and guests will walk upstairs to the reception.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The Balinese Ballroom is located on the Main Street Rail Line (trolley). You can take the trolley up to the venue for $1, or take an uber! We recommend riding the trolley with your group, and hop off at the Sheraton or Overton stop. Here is the website for additional info: https://www.matatransit.com/trolley/routes/

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There are two parking lots for guests of the Balinese Ballroom that are available for guests that are driving. They are on the north and south sides of the venue (to the left and right of the front door). There is no cost for either of these lots.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes, we do! Please see the travel tab for more info. You are also welcome to search for and stay at other nearby hotels, and there are airbnbs nearby as well.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Yes, both food and drinks will be available, buffet-style. The food includes salad and entree options. Dessert will be served as well.
