Lindsay and Natalie (sister and MOH) decided to take a last minute girls trip to Las Vegas in March 2015. They were looking to escape the Colorado spring snowstorms and celebrate the upcoming chapters of their lives. They had an incredible time hanging by the pool during the day and dancing the nights away. It just so happened that Mick and a group of buddies were also in Vegas enjoying all things March Madness. On the last night of the trip, Lindsay and Mick met for the very first time! There was an instant connection. Mick's best bet of the weekend... Best Ever? No one expected to put down another parlay, round robin, double down, pass line, future or any other Vegas wager before they made the notoriously soul crushing post-Vegas trip home the next morning. If you've ever had the opportunity to be in a casino town with Mick, you know that's only actually true if the wind doesn't change direction or his wallet and/or phone are somehow MIA again. Fortunately for Mick, he still had his phone in his possession when this wonderful beauty from Colorado happened upon him. He immediately knew he had one more wager to place that might somehow extend the short time he had to spend with Lindsay. The oddsmakers, if consulted, would have advised Mick to look elsewhere after going head first into an awkward exchange of phone numbers. Mick and Lindsay had their own odds in mind after a long hug and a goodbye that left both souls wanting. The next day, Linds and Nat began the long drive back to Colorado. Mick and Lindsay texted the entire time! Basically, they never stopped talking after that fateful night. The week following, Mick sent flowers to Lindsay at her job and invited her to visit him in Baltimore, where he was living at the time. Lindsay went to visit Mick at the end of April and it was on that trip they both knew this was the real deal. They trudged through long distance for the next 8 months, flying coast to coast every month to see each other (shoutout to Southwest and their drink coupons). It was never a question of if they would live in the same place but when, and soon enough they both ended up in San Diego together! Their time in San Diego was nothing short of wonderful! Some of their best friends and best memories were made in America's Finest City and they are so thrilled to be back to celebrate with all of you. Thank you for your support over the last 7+ years and thank you for being a part of this exciting time. Each of you have been a special part of this love story and the gratitude that Mick and Lindsay feel for you is immense! So, we guess it's true what they say...what happens in Vegas turns into a once-in-a-lifetime love and an amazing life together! Or something like that :)
