Things To Do

Grand Cenote

109 Quintana Roo, Tulum, Q.R., Mexico

Located 2 hours south of the resort, Tulum is known to have the world’s largest number of underwater sinkholes, or cenotes. Once revered as sacred by ancient Mayans, they now draw travelers, explorers, and adventurers alike. While there are many options of cenotes to visit, the Gran Cenote is very popular with swimmers and snorkelers of all ages. Partially submerged tunnels connect the cenote’s open-air sections. The location is very popular with divers, as it provides access to the world’s second-largest cave system. With its sandy bottom and sunbathing decks, the Gran Cenote is also a favorite with swimmers and those looking to relax in the sun. Keep an eye out for bats and even occasional toucans.

Mayan Ruins

San Miguel de Cozumel, Q.R., Mexico
, 01 800 588 2300

The Tulum Mayan ruins are located less than 2 hours south of Cancun and are considered by many as the most beautiful of the Mayan Ruins sites around Cancun. Though smaller, the ruins are exquisitely poised on the fifteen-meter-high cliffs above the azure waters of the Caribbean Sea. In Maya, Tulum means "Wall", and the city was christened thus because it is a walled city; one of the very few the ancients ever built. Research suggests it was formerly called Zama or "to dawn" in its day, which is appropriate given the location. For a small fee, guests can explore the ruins and relax on the surrounding beaches. It's a must see in Tulum!

Xel-Ha Park

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. 77717, Mexico

Regarded as one of the world’s greatest Natural Wonders, Xel-Há provides one of the best experiences in the heart of the Riviera Maya. At this All Inclusive Park you can enjoy water activities, ecological attractions, restaurants and the best scenery to admire while you relax in a hammock or stroll the nooks and crannies of Xel-Há. Come and immerse yourself in one of the cenotes, lagoons or caves, and enjoy the aquatic zip-lines you’ll only find at Xel-Há.

Xcaret

Isla Mujeres

Q.R., Mexico

Isla Mujeres is a small island located a few miles off of the resort which can be reached by public ferry. Visitors to this island can walk around its small town and maybe do a little shopping or enjoy one of Isla Murales' beautiful beaches. Snorkel with tropical fish amid coral reefs, skim the blue waters by kayak or boat, or windsurf along the shores of soft, sandy beaches. On land, you can sunbathe, dine on seafood, dance to Latin rhythms, tour on a moped or belly up to the bar for fresh, delicious drinks. It is one of Cancun's safest areas in which to spend a relaxing day.
