We’re getting married!!!

We’re so excited for you all to be a part of our special day, and while we wish we could include everyone, please note that this will be an adult only event.

Depending on who you ask, you may get a different story of how we met. Matt likes to tell people that we matched online, but after a few brief messages back and forth, Lindsay “ghosted” him and it ended before it ever got started. Lindsay, on the other hand, credits a former patient and his wife, whose daughter happened to be Matt’s neighbor and friend. Over a holiday weekend in Tahoe (months after our brief online interaction), Matt’s friend suggested he meet her dad’s Physical Therapist, Lindsay. Remembering that he had previously spoken to a physical therapist named Lindsay, Matt put two and two together and realized that the person his friend was referring to, was someone he had already been in contact with. He reached out, and once we realized the coincidence, we knew we had to meet and see the potential that others already had. Our first date was September 18, 2019, and we instantly clicked. So much so, that Matt invited Lindsay to Tahoe for date #3. Needless to say, the date was a success and Tahoe would become our go-to getaway when the COVID pandemic started just a few short months later. We survived a lockdown together by bonding over our mutual love of country music, learning new card games, home cooked meals, hikes, bike rides, and a lot of wine!

Once life started looking normal again, we went on a road trip from Nashville, to Asheville, to Charleston and ended in Savannah, GA. It was an amazing trip, and we can’t tell you the number of messages we received wondering if a proposal would take place! As exciting as it would have been to propose on the trip, Matt secretly already knew that it would be so much more memorable to propose in a place that had become so special to both of us.

Matt proposed at sunset on the beach in Tahoe on June 12, 2021. It started as just another weekend trip spent listening to music, having a few drinks, and relaxing on the beach. We had planned on watching the sunset and then heading to a late dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, but Lindsay decided she wanted to take a nap first, which almost ruined everything. Fortunately, we got out of the house, made it to the beach, and while Lindsay’s back was turned, taking pictures of the lake, Matt dropped to one knee and asked Lindsay (and Stoli) for forever. It was the most perfect day, in the most perfect place, and neither one of us could be more excited for our future!
