FAQs

We understand big days come with a lot of questions! Below are common FAQs to try make it as easy as possible for our guests. If you have further questions than what are listed below, please contact us! For last minute questions, please contact our planner, Erin 864-723-4185.
Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

We would appreciate your RSVP by January 23, 2027!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Due to the limited space of our venue and wanting to keep our gathering as intimate as possible, your invitation will indicate if it includes a plus-one or not. We really appreciate your understanding!

Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we kindly ask that you take this as an opportunity for an adult-only date night :)

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There is no formal "dress code", however for those that might appreciate some direction, we would best classify it as semi-formal. Gentlemen, perhaps a button down and jacket, or shirt and tie with pants or slacks. For ladies, any length dress or whatever you are most comfortable in. Most of the grounds will be paved, but there are also some grass areas you can walk on, so keep that in mind when selecting any heels! Although we will be indoors during the evening hours, light layers are recommended for any outdoor evening activity.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We do! We are fortunate enough to have everything that we need within our home, so our registry is for our dream honeymoon instead! You can see all of travel and activity plans on our REGISTRY tab!

Question

What are the best airports to fly in to?

Answer

We suggest Charlotte, North Carolina (CLT). Due to its larger size, it should have more competitive fares and better availability. ~45 min drive to the venue. Other options include Greenville, South Carolina (GSP) ~50 min drive to the venue. Asheville, NC (AVL) ~65 min drive to the venue.

Question

Do you have a hotel block?

Answer

Yes, we do! We have a hotel block for a Marriott and a Hilton chain property. Please visit our TRAVEL page for more details.

Question

When should we arrive at the venue?

Answer

Please arrive to the venue around 4:30-4:40 pm to allow for ample time for all guests to settle in the ceremony location. Members will greet you in the parking lot, and direct you to the ceremony location.

Question

How long is the entire event?

Answer

The celebrations will commence at 5:00pm and end at 10:00pm

Question

Where should we park?

Answer

When you turn in at the purple "Molly's Lakeside" sign, you will quickly see the main parking lot. Available parking spaces will be displayed. There is also overflow parking at the dr. office above the hill, however if you are able to carpool, we recommend it!

Question

Can we use our phones to take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that you do not use your phones or take photos during the ceremony so that we can all be fully present in the moment!

Question

Are both the ceremony and reception at the same venue?

Answer

Yes, the entire day will take place at Molly's Lakeside.

Question

Will the celebrations be held indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, we will hold our ceremony outdoors, the cocktail hour will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors, and the dinner and reception will be indoors.

Question

Are there Ubers or Lyfts in the area?

Answer

Yes, there are Ubers and Lyfts in the area. However, Shelby is a smaller town so there is chance of limited availability. We would recommend confirming ahead of time.

Question

Is the venue wheelchair/handicapped accessible?

Answer

Yes, there are accessible ramps, and golf carts to transport handicapped guests.

Question

Should we expect appetizers prior to dinner?

Answer

Good question, I'd want to know too. Yes, hors d'oeuvre will be provided during cocktail hour prior to dinner.

Question

Can I request dietary restrictions?

Answer

Of course. Please contact us with any dietary restrictions you may have.

Question

Answer

You may not, but there's no need - we will have an open bar of beer, wine, and liquor throughout the entire evening. Just please make sure you have safe transportation at the end of night!

Question

Can I give a speech?

Answer

While we are keeping the actual reception speech lineup very limited, we would love to hear all the great stories, and kind words. There will be an open opportunity to speak at the Welcome Drinks Celebration, or for those who are not so keen on public speaking, we would love to enjoy your message left on our audio guestbook found in our cocktail hour area.

Question

What is an audio guestbook?

Answer

We are foregoing the traditional written guestbook, and are instead asking our guests to leave us an audio message for an even more personal touch! There will be an antique phone in the cocktail hour area, simply leave your name and message for us to listen back to and cherish forever!

Question

Can I bring cards/gifts to the wedding?

Answer

If you prefer to bring physical cards or gifts to the wedding, we kindly welcome and appreciate all offerings. We will have a designated area for those who choose to do so.

Question

Are there any events besides the wedding?

Answer

We will host a Welcome Drinks Celebration at Veronet Vineyards on Thursday evening from 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm. This is a drop-in event, and attendance is completely optional. If you are already in the area, we'd love to spend one-on-one time with you all, and if not we will see you on the big day!
