Covid-19 Policy

May 14, 2022

We are excited to welcome our family, friends, and loved ones to our wedding in the safest manner possible. In order to comply with local, state and federal guidelines that may be in place at the time of the wedding, all wedding guests must provide proof of full COVID vaccination (as well as boosting, if eligible) by April 14. Guests must also, prior to attendance, provide evidence of a negative PCR COVID test taken between May 9 and May 11. Additionally, attendees will be required to take a rapid test at the wedding venue from 2:30-3:30pm, immediately preceding the ceremony starting at 4pm. Rapid tests will be provided. On or before April 14, please send proof of vaccination to RobinsonBeasley2022@gmail.com. Please also send evidence of a negative PCR COVID test the week of the wedding to RobinsonBeasley2022@gmail.com. Given that adherence to these rules is the only way to have our wedding in a safe and compliant manner, we will not be in a position to waive these requirements under any circumstances. We hope that you will, out of a desire to share in our special day, strictly adhere to these requests. However, if you do not believe that you will be able to comply for any reason, please inform us of your inability to attend as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you as we begin our lives together!

How We Met

In the small world of North Carolina politics, it was only a matter of time before Lindsay and Chaz found each other - two young, gifted, and black professionals doing their part to make this world a bit better. It started through messages back and forth, as so many connections in our internet age do, and then led to lunch. The two had an instant connection, but it was a foundation built on friendship and mutual appreciation that guided them in the beginning. As days turned to months, and months to years, Lindsay and Chaz’s friendship began to change. The two saw in each other something that they did not see before - each person seeing the other for who they really were. With a strong foundation built, they decided to pursue more, because they each deserved more. Upon that foundation, they have built a relationship that will last a lifetime.

The Proposal

After dinner on a windswept, white sand beach, Lindsay and Chaz walked hand in hand. Chaz, pretending to tie his shoe, got down on one knee - but Lindsay, always perceptive, knew what was coming. Chaz pulled the ring out of his pocket and asked Lindsay for her hand in marriage. Lindsay, with a knowing smile, said yes, with a kiss. Fiancé and fiancée then continued on their journey - on the beach, into forever.
