Things To Do

Colonial Williamsburg

Williamsburg, VA

Highly recommend while in the area, grew up with this as a constant and still love to walk Duke of Gloucester St and around Merchant Square. Would definitely recommend for first time visitors to buy tour passes and to see the Governor’s Palace! (Side note: please be aware that some houses are private residences and not public historical properties)

Yorktown Fall Festival

Yorktown Beach, VA

Morning of 10/10/2026, something fun to do if you are staying in the Yorktown area before getting ready for the wedding!

Jamestown Settlement

2110 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185

Where the start of our country and the first settlement was. Definitely a cool place to visit and learn how things were done/got started.

Yorktown Battlefields

1000 Colonial National Historical Parkway, Yorktown, VA 23690

A five minute walk from the venue and extremely cool history! Recommend also walking Main Street as well in Yorktown and looking at the Nelson St side of the Nelson house as it still has cannonballs stuck in it from the Revolutionary war. (Side note: please be aware that some houses are private residences and not public historical properties.)

American Revolution Museum at Yorktown

200 Water Street, Yorktown, VA 23690

Yorktown Sailing Charters

Yorktown, VA 23690

A historical boat tour (75ft schooner) along the York River.

Gloucester Main Street

Gloucester, VA 23061

Lots of small businesses and good restaurants, as well are a nice scenic walk with historical Gloucester Courthouse in the middle.
