We ask that you RSVP as soon as you possibly can so we can organize with our vendors. However, the deadline is August 10th, 2026. All RSVPs will be online under the RSVP tab on this website, please enter your name and everyone in your household who has also received an invite should pop up as well!
If we do not receive a RSVP by the date provided above, it will automatically be marked “Not Attending”. We will miss celebrating with you, but it is imperative that we provide our vendors with a final guest count within a timely manner. Thank you for understanding!
Your presence will be missed. We ask that you RSVP “Not Attending” as soon as you can. If you have already RSVP’d “Attending”, but find that you cannot make it please notify the bride at (757)876-9036 as soon as possible.
Please arrive by 3:30pm as this is 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time. This way you can find parking, visit our welcome table, say your hellos and find your seat before our ceremony begins.
The venue is off of Main Street but parking for the wedding is right next to the venue on Smith Street. There will be signs marking the parking area for when you arrive. Please put in the Address 204 Smith Street, Yorktown, Virginia 23690 for the exact address for parking. DO NOT park in the public parking across from the Victory Monument, the tow trucks sit and wait to start towing exactly at sundown.
All parts of our big day will be taking place at the Hornsby House Inn in various locations on the property.
Semi-formal attire- polished and elegant. For women, think a formal tea-length/midi dress, a tasteful ankle length dress or a polished pantsuit option is appropriate as well. For men, suits and or tailored slacks and blazer are an appropriate option. Aiming for refined but not uncomfortable to celebrate in!
We kindly ask the Ladies to refrain from wearing white, ivory, champagne, or cream colored attire.
The bridesmaids will be in a variation of muted fall colors such as, rust, terracotta, burgundy, etc. The groomsmen will be wearing a combination of Coast Guard dress blues and navy suits.
Usually in the area at that time of year it can reach anywhere from 65-75, and drops to 45-55 at night. Please make sure to check your weather channels/apps to properly prepare the closer it gets to the wedding.
Due to limited space we are not allotting plus ones, only guest formally invited on your wedding invitation will be accommodated. All names that are invited will be under your household when you RSVP. If you have any concerns or questions please feel free to reach out to the bride!
We love your kiddos, but we are having a child free wedding with the exception of those in the wedding party. Please think of this as a child free date night, and for those coming from out of town we apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

You do not have to choose the ones we have listed, but we hope it helps in your search. We are having a buffet style dinner with chopped brisket, pulled pork, and pulled chicken as the mains. The sides will be sweet potatoes, Mac and cheese, and sautéed seasonal vegetables along with slider rolls or corn bread.
No, we will be providing a beer and wine selection along with 2 signature drinks.
Short Answer, NO! We will be having a phone free ceremony, we have hired an amazing photographer to capture the moment for us. We would like to have you fully present and also would not like to have cell phones in the way of our wedding photos. Feel free to take as many photos before and or after the ceremony as you wish!
If you are choosing to fly instead of drive from out of state we cannot recommend more that you fly into Richmond airport or Newport News/Williamsburg airport. If you do fly into Norfolk be prepared to cross the bridge tunnels and endure severe traffic due to the shipyard and road work. I apologize in advance for Virginia residents driving.
