Frequently Asked Questions

We know that this pandemic has impacted people in a variety of ways that may make attending our wedding unrealistic. While we are aware that the world will not be back to "normal," we are hopeful that it will be safe enough for everyone to travel, gather, and celebrate. Most importantly, we acknowledge that not everyone may feel comfortable traveling. Please know that we fully support each of your personal decisions.
Question

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF COVID-19 IS STILL IMPACTING GATHERINGS IN CO?

Answer

We are and will continue to closely monitor CDC guidelines. We will keep this website up to date in regards to any changes.

Question

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN?

Answer

We have decided to make this an adults-only gathering with the exception of immediate family and those participating in the wedding ceremony.

Question

HOW DO I GET TO THE WEDDING VENUE? WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Answer

Due to the limited parking available at the Beaver Creek Chapel, we recommend using the free shuttle services available or an Uber/car service to get to the venue. Please arrive to the Beaver Creek Chapel no later than 2:00 PM. Please be aware of the shuttle times and allow extra time for delays or walking to/from bus stops. The shuttle service will drop you off at the Beaver Creek Village. The Chapel is South, up the incline, along Elk Road.

Question

SHOULD I BE WORRIED ABOUT THE ALTITUDE?

Answer

The town of Avon and Beaver Creek are located 7,431 ft and 8,080 ft above sea level, respectively. Some people may feel the effects of staying at altitude (mild headache, nausea, and fatigue). We recommend to (1) Keep your physical exertion moderate while acclimating the first day. (2) Drink plenty of water, at least 64 oz, a day. (3) Avoid excessive alcohol, you'll feel it much faster. If you're worried you may consider staying in Denver (5,280 ft) for one night before driving up to the mountains. OTC medications (Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, etc...) should help with altitude side effects. Rest assured, millions of families visit this region of the U.S. every year. As long as you're sufficiently hydrated and mindful of exercise and alcohol, you will likely be fine.

Question

WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE IN APRIL? WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Answer

Expect snow on the ground and highs in the 50s and lows in the 20-30s at night. The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Although both the ceremony and the reception are indoors, please remember to bring a jacket or dress accordingly for the winter weather.

Question

WHAT IS THERE TO DO IN BEAVER CREEK?

Answer

Beaver Creek Resort is part of Vail Ski Resorts and the EPIC Ski Pass. Beaver Creek Mountain is renowned for its stunning beauty and welcoming atmosphere, providing access to every level of skier with 1,800 acres of terrain. Avrom, Lindsay, and the wedding party are planning a celebratory day of skiing/snowboarding on Sunday, April 3, 2022. All guests who enjoy skiing/snowboarding are invited to join us in celebrating.
