We LOVE this bar! Its made of shipping containers and has PLENTY of yard games, great drinks and has a small "dog park" and is pet and kid friendly.
They have 2 locations in Waco, this one and the one in the same building as Slow Rise. They make their own coffee beans (Native and Son's roasting) and use that in their coffee shops! Their iced Cowboy coffee is our favorite!
This is in the same parking lot as the hotel room block, within walking distance and we love the food/service!
Our FAVORITE pizza spot in Waco, they also have salads, wings, other sandwiches, fries, appetizers and a full bar. There is also a Common Grounds coffee shop located in the same building on the other side and have a massive patio area for kids to play!
This is our FAVORITE ice cream in Waco! Their toppings are fresh and phenomenal! If you're looking for a sweet treat definitely make this one of your stops!
This is another local ice cream shop and all of their ice cream is homemade with local dairy ingredients. They also have phenomenal homemade waffle cones! They'll even let you try all their flavors if you'd like! It's definitely worth stopping by while you're in town and Common Grounds is right next door if you'd like some coffee!
Check out Waco's National Park and check out some true fossils archaeologists found in the ground and the story behind them! You can hear about the mammoths (not woolly here) and some other awesome animals found as well! This is an indoor/outdoor tour and is great for everyone! This is Lindsay's favorite "tourist" spot!
This zoo is small but great and interactive! If you love going to the zoo its worth checking out, especially with kids and only takes a couple hours!
Large store and small greenhouse, huge turf area with yard games, plenty of food trucks and the bakery is also located on site at the Silos. For the Magnolia/Fixer Upper lovers, Magnolia Table is their restaurant over on the circle!
Very interactive museum! I'll bet you didn't know that Waco is the home of Dr. Pepper! You can even make your own old school soda/ice cream float combination there!
Great for history buffs and I learned quite a bit! They also helped apprehend Bonnie and Clyde! Learn more about them here! This can hold you up for quite a while depending on how long you stay to read the information but its pretty interesting!
On the smaller side but interactive museum for kids and only takes a couple hours max to get through!
This is located in Downtown Waco in the parking lot in front of the courthouse Saturday mornings from 7am-1pm. It's small but they have some wonderful items! Check out the Brazos Valley Cheese vendor. Also if you go for brunch, stop at Sergio's food truck and get a breakfast burrito/tacos/quesadilla, you won't be disappointed!
Indoor mini golf and bar in Downtown Waco
This is our awesome whiskey distillery. They offer tours and tastings!
Currently their taproom is only open on Saturdays but you can still try their beers at many locations throughout Waco! They are located across the river from Downtown Waco!
We love the atmosphere here! It's a pet friendly brewery with some pretty delicious pizza! We love to come here and hang out and get some drinks!
I am obsessed with their brunch but you can't go wrong with any of the food here! This is our local Irish themed pub! Barnett's is located in Downtown Waco. Their drinks are pretty amazing as well, we love their old fashioned's!
KARAOKE on Saturday nights! They also have pool tables and darts. This place has a 90s/grunge style to it but I love this place! They’ve tried to classy it up a bit but it’s still a cool place to check out! Located in Downtown Waco and is a couple doors down from Barnett's!
They have phenomenal drinks and we love the food there! Try the Al Pastor fajitas and Al Carbon enchiladas!
Looking for coffee and liquor all in the same place? Dichotomy is the place to go! (keep in mind the drinks are fabulous but can be pricey ($10-12 average per alcoholic drink). Dichotomy is located in Downtown Waco.
This food truck park has several permanent food trucks as well as rotating food trucks so check the website to see who is there! They also have a bar in the center but there are picnic tables so everyone can choose where they want to eat!
Definitely check out some of the restaurants here! It's just down the road from Magnolia next to the Federal Courthouse and they have food trucks turned brick and mortar here! There is also a bar located in it. It's set up like a food court!
Looking for a large, frozen mug of beer or margarita, George's is the place to go! Grab a plate of their crazy wings!
I LOVE their breakfast pie (quiche) and baked oatmeal for breakfast! Highly recommend for a place to eat while in town! They are only open for breakfast and lunch, they also have baked goods too if you're looking for a snack. Lindsay got Gabe a delicious coconut cream pie for his birthday from here!
Located close to Downtown Waco, they make the individual sized pizzas that are delicious and you can make them however you want! Would recommend over 900 degree pizza which is located in Downtown Waco.
I LOVE this diner! Its old school 50s style diner and they’re not known for their fast service but the food is delicious and you HAVE to try one of their homemade desserts! Jake's is also located in Downtown Waco.
Delicious and HUGE tacos for a great price! Also they're open 24/7! Their tacos are served at Freight Bar as well which is just across the street!
Grab my favorite ice cream and cookie sandwiches! They post their location on their Facebook and Instagram pages, if you're curious Lindsay usually knows where they're at or can find out!
This is a local Thai restaurant located in Downtown Waco! Their food is delicious but prepare for a longer dinner time (lunch is pretty quick). The service is slower but worth the wait!
This is a cafe next to Cricket’s in Downtown Waco and they have delicious breakfast and lunch items! They are in the same building as Cricket's so I'm not sure if they were effected by the pipes bursting during the winter storm.
Looking for burgers? This place has some delicious ones and quite the combination of toppings! This is nestled in a building behind Bicycle World in Downtown Waco! This is a brick and mortar version of a food truck we used to love!
Gourmet burgers, delicious milkshakes and they give you a celebrity name to assign your order! They have a bar for drinks and lights on the walls made out of kegs! Super cool atmosphere!
This place is amazing for Greek food! Try their original Xristo’s gyro!
This is the other Greek place in Waco which is really good as well! This is near Downtown Waco and Waco Bao is right next door if you're looking for bubble tea!
Poke bowls and delicious food located in Downtown Waco!
Looking for somewhere to play pool, shuffleboard, arcade games, giant jenga, etc? This is your place! They also have over 100 beers on tap! They had some pipes burst during our winter storm so I'm not sure if they'll be back up and running by the wedding! Stay tuned!
Cheap beer (think $5 pitchers) and pizza, this is a local favorite for Baylor students so its tough to get a table here on the weekends! They also do take out pizza!
