This is our favorite restaurant/cafe/provider of baked goods in the entire city. Visit them in the morning for an amazing latte and a kouign amann. Or, stop in for dinner to try their incredible homemade pastas. Reservations are recommended for dinner.
Green Street Smoked Meats
Our favorite barbeque spot in Chicago with the BEST vibes. On the day we got engaged, we celebrated here with Steve Wojick by drinking waaay too many sweet tea bourbons. The brisket is some of the best in the city but don't sleep on the potato salad either.
Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago
Chicago is known for its many museums, but we think this one is the best!
The Welcome Back Lounge
You know that bar around the corner you feel comfortable going to in your sweats and no makeup just to eat the best patty melt you've ever had? No? Oh okay, well this is that bar.
Bavette's Bar & Boeuf
It took us about a month to get a 4:30 PM reservation for a month out, but it was absolutely worth it! If you want to have an incredible steak dinner with a cozy ambiance and can plan ahead - this might be worth the trip for you.
The Catcade - Cat Cafe & Rescue
We LOVE The Catcade as a destination as well as everything they do as a non-profit organization. The concept is simple - play free arcade games while hanging out in a room filled with adorable adoptable cats. Reservations required. Children 12+. Make sure you check out their merch on the way out!
