Monserrate

Santa Fe, Bogota, Colombia

Monserrate is a mountain that dominates the city center of Bogotá. It rises to 3,152 metres (10,341 ft) above the sea level, where there is a church (built in the 17th century) with a shrine, devoted to El Señor Caído ("The Fallen Lord"). In addition to the church, the summit contains restaurants, cafeteria, souvenir shops and many smaller tourist facilities. Monserrate can be accessed by aerial tramway, a funicular or by climbing, the preferred way of pilgrims.

Museo del Oro A - 3

The Gold Museum displays a selection of pre-Columbian gold and other metal alloys. It has the largest collection of gold artifacts in the world.

Catedral de Sal

Parque De La Sal, Cundinamarca 250252, Colombia
(1) 8519502

A beautiful expression of the Catholic faith and one of the most notable achievements in Colombian architecture. An amazing experience to enjoy an expansive Cathedral ~200 meters underground made completely of Salt. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for fantastic photographs. This is likely considered a day trip given the distance from Bogota about an hour.

Casa Restaurante San Isidro

Casa Restaurante San Isidro

Carrera 2 Este, Bogotá, Bogotá 110311, Colombia

This is a french restaurant that has been opened for 40 years located at the top of the beautiful hill of Monserrate. The restaurant has been famous for its gastronomic seasons and lobster is in for September right for the wedding :) This colonial mansion, whose decoration evokes the sleepy, quiet and loving city of the mid-nineteenth century. They also have a panoramic terrace, with the beautiful city of Bogotá at your feet.

Lake Guatavita

Cundinamarca 251058, Colombia

This is a magical and unique hike! Right outside Bogota this hike is full of history and at the end you enjoy a beautiful view with green hills and a lagoon.

Villa de Leyva

Villa de Leyva, Boyaca, Colombia

Streets paved in stone and white walls greet travellers arriving in Villa de Leyva a town in Boyacá which is part of the Colombian National Network Of Heritage Towns. it is located 3 hours by land north of Bogotá. Founded on June 12 1572 and recognise what colonial architecture, Villa de Leyva lives the 21st century with intensity, sharing its history with all who visit it.

Zona Rosa

Zona Rosa

Bogotá, Colombia

The "Zona Rosa" or also known as "Zona T" is the cities modern downtown. It has shops, upscale restaurants and the nicest hotels. My favorite restaurants in the area are Crepes & Waffles, Club Colombia, Bogota Beer Company, WOK, Andres DC, and Central Cevicheria

Ciclovia

Ciclovia, Bogota, Colombia

"Cycleway" happens every Sunday from 7am-2pm! The close down some streets in the city to encourage people to exercise. There are Aerobics instructors, yoga teachers and musicians lead people through various performances in different city parks.

La Fragata

Ac. 100 # 8a-55, Bogota, Cundinamarca, Colombia
