We're getting Married!

Backstory, we met at Johnson State College in 2016 and bonded over our shared love of the outdoors and music. Rhys graduated in 2018 and moved to Connecticut to work for a company called Mountain Workshop (MW), while Lily finished up school as an intern at Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports. Lily would frequently travel down to visit any chance she could to see Rhys and also get on that CT rock! After a short work season in CT, Rhys moved back to Vermont for the winter, where he worked as a ski patroller at Sugarbush Resort. The next summer we moved to Colorado, where we lived together for the first time. We immersed ourselves in the world of outdoor education, working for a company called Avid4Adventure. We taught kids how to rock climb, mt. bike, kayak, build shelters, or build a fire. In Colorado, we loved exploring the high-altitude terrain and all the other cool places CO has to offer. We met new friends, and even got to work with some of our Connecticut friends from MW! We also loved to explore the breweries in Colorado. After Colorado, our next chapter was back in Connecticut, but this time living and working for MW together. Finally, we decided to move back to the Mad River Valley so Rhys could continue to ski patrol for the next 5 years. Currently, Rhys works as a carpenter's apprentice for CLAR construction in Montpelier VT, and Lily works at Lawson's Finest Brewery in Waitsfield VT. One of the highlights of our journey together was an unforgettable month-long road trip. We covered 7,000 miles, exploring nine National Parks, reconnecting with friends, and climbing in multiple states. For thirty days, our home was a truck, and our world was open. This adventure solidified our bond and created memories that will last a lifetime. After settling into the Mad River Valley, we were introduced to a world of new friendships and experiences. Discovering the music of Phish became a shared passion, bringing us even closer together. The joy of sharing these concerts with loved ones and meeting fellow fans has enriched our lives in countless ways. We are so excited for this next chapter of our lives together and can't wait to celebrate it with all of our loved ones!
