Schedule
The traditional Hmong Wedding is a whole day event. It is not a typical western wedding. Guests may come as early as 7am. The traditional Hmong wedding event will begin around 8am. Food will be served buffet style promptly at noon. The reception portion of the wedding will take place shortly after lunch. Guests can leave whenever or shortly after the bride and groom leaves the family residence which may occur in the late afternoon. Towards the end of the wedding, the bride's family and relatives and guests can partake in the beer gauntlet to give to the groom in honor of the bride and to test the groom's love for the bride.
