It's Happening!

On a late summer evening in 2015, Lily and John happened to be sitting next to each other at J.G. Melon’s on MacDougal Street. To this day, “Melons” is a Cheers-like local hang out spot for each of their groups of friends. And on that particular evening, in the corner bar at Melons, over wine, burgers and fries, John started talking with Lily. It was clear they had a good deal in common when the conversation turned to Lily’s love for dogs, in particular retrievers. Four years of countless dates, trips and an engagement later, the main topic of conversation hasn’t changed much at all. John proposed to Lily in Central Park on February 8, 2019, the eve of her birthday. They took over Melons the following day to celebrate the moment with friends and family. John has promised Lily a puppy following the wedding. *** We could not be more excited to share this moment in our lives with our friends and family. To us, this is a celebration of how fortunate we are to bring our lives – and the wonderful people who fill them – together. We thank you all and can’t wait for August 28, 2021.
