Please check out the “registry” section on the wedding website and support us in some of our endeavors. We are not registered elsewhere.
Ceremony starts at 3:30pm Hawaii Standard Time and is only 30min long. Please plan to get there 15-20 minutes ahead of time as there is a 5-10 minute walk from the parking lot to the Manager's House.
It’s an island wedding! So go as casual as Hawaiian shirts (although the groom isn’t the fondest of them) to as formal as semi-formal/cocktail attire. It’s also an animal-themed wedding. Feel free to add in your animal flares as you wish! Secret tip: the bride loves the following animals: sloths, alpacas, red panda, quokkas, axolotl, platypus, meerkats, koalas, sea otters, and capybaras. For the ladies, wear heels at your own discretion as the venue is basically a large grassy field leading to a rocky beach. Consider bringing a backup pair of sneakers/flats or get some heel protectors for easy-breezy walking. Important Note: Due to the groom’s chemical sensitivities, please refrain from wearing fragrances (perfume, cologne, fragranced sunscreen, etc!)
Unfortunately due to our venue we are very limited on space so extra guests not mentioned on the invitation cannot be accommodated but we sincerely hope that you can still be present at this important event in our lives!
Although we adore your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to restricted budget/space constraints. However, some exceptions have been made for family and based on our discretion. We hope you can understand and sincerely wish you can join us on our big day!
Please refer to the “Travel” section of our wedding website. We will be staying in Kapa’a, which is on the west side of island and is 30 to 50 minutes of driving without traffic to the venue. To be closer to the venue, consider staying in one of the cottages at the venue location or in the towns of Koloa or Poipu, both of which have a lot of nice resorts.
Appetizers will be passed around during cocktail hour and dinner will be plated style with the following choices: beef, fish, or vegetarian. If you have a specific food allergy, please let us know ASAP or via RSVP so we can make some accommodations for you.
Take HI-50W and turn left on Laau Rd. If you see the "Chicken in a Barrel BBQ" and "Waimea Plantation Cottages" signages, you are at the RIGHT place! Please park at the main entrance parking lot. Walk through the lobby and you will see a long open field. Walk down the field towards the big Banyan Tree and we will be there!
Yes! There’s a parking lot right in front of the venue.
We are still planning that out but rest assured we will notify you as soon as an activity is planned.
The south side of the island is typically the driest throughout the year although occasional showers are still possible. For the month of July, we are anticipating a low of 62-72F to a high of 74-82F. Please wear sunscreen! There will be a tent at the venue so you will be covered if lucky rain does decide to join the festivities.
