FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

In order to finalize our plans and ensure everything is perfect we kindly ask that you RSVP by June 1st. You can do so on the website or by sending a text to Lily at 913.216.5815

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

While there is no specific dress code, we wanted to offer some guidance for those who want to join in on a “theme.” Feel free to embrace a semi-formal style, with pastel summery colors and earthy neutrals. We’re going for an enchanted, timeless, classic vibe. The bridesmaids will be in a rose pink and groomsmen in classic black and white with light blue tie. Wear whatever you feel most comfortable and confident in. The most important thing is that you’re there to celebrate with us!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

To keep our celebration manageable, we ask that only those named on the invitation attend. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate plus-ones, extra family, or dates unless you’ve received a specific invitation for them.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we will have kids at the wedding(my siblings and close family), we kindly ask that you leave your little ones at home unless they are specifically named on the invitation. We are hoping to keep our guest list manageable and appreciate your understanding. Wanting to keep the reception as adult only as possible.

Question

Where will the reception take place?

Answer

The reception will take place at the same Catholic church that the ceremony will take place at. It will be in the church’s reception hall.

Question

What does a Catholic wedding look like?

Answer

A Catholic wedding ceremony typically includes a Mass with vows, prayers, and a blessing. There will be hymns, Bible readings, and Communion, which is for Catholics who have received their First Communion (others can come up for a blessing). The ceremony usually lasts about 45 minutes to an hour. We encourage guests to dress modestly and respectfully. Afterward, we’ll celebrate at the reception, and we’re so happy to have you join us, regardless of your faith!

Question

Will there be a cocktail hour?

Answer

Yes, we plan to have a cocktail hour that guests can mingle, play games, dance, etc! There will be a game table and some activities for guests to have fun with. We’ll also be serving signature ‘his or her’ drink at the bar, with two options for guest to choose from. The cocktail hour will take place at 4 until the reception at 5pm.

Question

What drinks will be provided?

Answer

As we are not big drinkers and we know our guests drink a variety of different beverages we will be offering signature ‘his or her’, drinks alcohol wise. As well as some non-alcoholic options like sodas & lemonades. This will be provided by us. We will be having a BYOB (bring your own beverage) option. So feel free to bring drinks of your choice to possibly share with your table, if you’d like something other than what we’ll offer.

Question

What food options will there be?

Answer

We’re still building our menu for food. We will definitely be having Argentinian food. If you do have any dietary or allergy restrictions let me know.

Question

What is the address for the ceremony

Answer

Divine Mercy Catholic Church 555 E Main st, Gardner Ks, 66030
