Ivan’s Story: Born in Argentina, Ivan grew up with his brother, sister, and parents. As a child, he was always creative and had a passion for video games. Some of his best memories are time with his family and having fun with his friends back home. Life took him on a whirlwind journey—from Argentina to Dubai, and eventually to the United States. After a brief time in California, he found himself settling in the middle of the country, in Kansas. Here, he pursued his education in business and welding, enjoyed swing dancing at a local bar, and always held onto his dream of building a family. Lily’s Story: Lily grew up in Gardner, Kansas, surrounded by her siblings, mom, and dad. Though she was shy and introverted, she had an insatiable curiosity about the world and a strong faith. Life brought changes, expanding her family to include five siblings, her mom, dad, and stepmom. She didn’t move around much until the pandemic hit, which led her to transfer to a new high school—a significant change that shaped her profoundly. After some challenging relationships, Lily often dreamed of finding true love. Post-high school, she attended K-state, where she learned valuable life lessons and gained clarity about her path. Independent and self-aware, she realized college wasn’t her calling and decided to move back home to explore her next steps. Their Story Their paths first crossed on social media, though neither remembers exactly how. They occasionally sent messages here and there, but didn’t dive deep, as they were both in different places in their lives. After Lily moved back home from college, feeling it was the right move, she decided to give Ivan a chance. He had planned to go dancing, but his usual spot was closed, so they went for dinner instead. Ivan picked her up in his big truck, opening the door for her—a gesture she truly appreciated. Over sushi, they had a great conversation about life and shared some laughs. The night took an unexpected turn when Ivan asked if she’d ever been off-roading. She said yes, thinking it was just small talk, until he drove into a field and started doing donuts, nearly tipping the truck. She couldn’t help but think, “Is this guy really doing this on a first date?” After that night, Lily felt uncertain about her future and got scared of jumping into something serious. They stopped talking for a while, each focusing on their own paths-Lily worked on getting her real estate license and deepening her faith, while Ivan, being the independent guy he is, focused on himself and his education. A mission trip to help those in need gave Lily clarity. She realized she wanted to prioritize her faith, personal growth, and find someone who would treat her right. After returning, life went on as usual until Ivan reached out, inviting Lily for ice cream. (Of course the food helps). He assured her they could take things slow if that’s what she wanted. They started hanging out more, having meals together, and building a friendship that eventually grew into something more. They met each others family and friends, and their connection deepened. They began expressing their feelings with “I appreciate you” before finally saying “I love you.” Things moved quickly but felt right for them. They spent a lot of time together and with each other’s families, realizing how much they have in common and how well they complement each other. They even took a trip to Argentina to see where Ivan grew up. It was a part of Ivan’s life that he hadn’t shown to someone special before. Ivan’s outgoing, hardworking, and motivating nature balances Lily’s calm, understanding, and introverted demeanor. They share a good sense of humor, enjoy deep conversations, and continually inspire each other to grow. Now, they’ve built an unbreakable bond and found the love they’ve both been searching for, owing it to God. They’re excited to continue their journey together and can’t wait to celebrate their love with all of you!!
