FAQs

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 18 so we have an accurate number for dinner and seating.

Question

Please Note Time Zone

Answer

Please keep in mind if you are coming from out of town the wedding will be taking place in Mountain time zone, which is a one hour difference from Oregon and Idaho... you will lose an hour on your way to the venue/eastbound so please plan your drive accordingly to ensure you arrive before 3:30 and not 4:30.

Question

Where Should I Park?

Answer

Please park in the field next to the house. The access gate is at the end of the driveway between the mailbox and the cattle guard. There will be parking attendants to help you if you are unsure.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

August is typically warm and the ceremony will be outside in an open space with no trees. The reception will be held in a wooded area that may be cool without the direct sun so you may want a light wrap for the evening.

Question

How far away is this from CDA?

Answer

For those coming from the CDA area the wedding venue is approximately 2 1/2 hours from CDA. For those that wish to spend the night on Saturday after the ceremony but don't want to miss church, if you leave by 8:30 a.m. you can still get to HBF for services on Sunday morning. Alternatively church service can be live streamed at the house on Sunday morning.

Question

Are there accomodations nearby?

Answer

August is still "tourist season" in the area. There are some hotels and air bnbs but they fill quickly during the summer. If you wish to camp in either a tent or trailer there is lots of room to accommodate that option. Please text the Groom's mother for information about camping on the property at 208-964-3770.

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

Dressy Casual, but for your safety, please no heels. Both the ceremony and reception will be held outside.

Question

Is the reception in the same place as the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will take place in the pasture behind the groom's parent's house. The reception will take place in the neighboring wooded creek bottom. For those who are adventurous it is accessible by a short walk across the pasture and down a game trail to the creek bottom. For those that do not wish to make the walk we will have attendants who will transport you to the creek bottom via a vehicle. Please keep this in mind in regards to footwear and please avoid wearing heels for your safety
