Things To Do

We're so excited for you to visit our home of San Diego and experience why we love this city so much! Below is a list of recommendations for places to go and see in San Diego and outside of San Diego if you plan to turn this into a trip! We will continue to add to this list closer to the date so make sure to come back again and see our recommendations!

La Valencia Hotel

1132 Prospect Street, San Diego, CA 92037

This hotel is right next to the wedding venue! It's beautiful pink colors and eclectic decor will wow you! We recommend checking out this place for breakfast or for a pre-wedding drink before the wedding begins. You can can enjoy a cocktail with ocean views!

The Taco Stand

621 Pearl Street, San Diego, CA 92037

If you're staying in La Jolla and want to try some Mexican food we highly recommend the taco stand! No frills just plain old delicious tacos and burritos! If you come here on a weekend just be aware that the line could be ~30min long.

Sunnie's Ocean Beach Mexican Food

4723 Point Loma Avenue, San Diego, CA 92107

If you’re in our beloved neighborhood Ocean Beach and want to try some amazing Mexican food, we recommend trying Sunnies which is right across from the beautiful Sunset Cliffs! Take your burrito to go and enjoy the beautiful view at Sunset Cliffs overlooking the pacific.

Palm Springs

Palm Springs, CA

The bride LOVES Palm Springs! She loves it so much she even had her bach here :) For the east coasters who have never seen a desert we highly recommend taking a trip to the desert and check it out. It's a quick 2 hour drive from San Diego. Palm Springs is full of chic restaurants and bars. We recommend getting a pool pass at one of the many gorgeous boutique hotels and relax poolside while sipping martinis and taking in the beautiful views of the mountains. October is the perfect time to visit because temperatures are mild during this time of year.

Joshua Tree

Joshua Tree, CA

Joshua Tree holds a special place in the brides and grooms heart because this is where they got engaged! It's also another great desert destination that is only 2 hours away from San Diego. It is ~30min away from Palm Springs so you can always check out both cities! Joshua Tree is full of antique stores and saloons. There are also amazing hiking trails that are perfect to hike during this time of year because the weather isn't too hot or cold.
