Even a global pandemic can't keep us from marrying the person of our dreams. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
Lily swiped right on Steven's profile. Steven sent her a few messages that turned into an hour long phone call and his first trip out to Stony Brook. Lily persuaded him that Long Island has the best pizza, hiking, and girls, and he had to come and see for himself.
Steven and Lily flew to Paris over labor day weekend after almost two years together. Steven took Lily to walk the stairs of the Eiffel tower just in time to watch the sunset, and the next day to the Louvre museum, the Ponts de Arts bridge, and a park on the Seine River. Knowing how much Lily appreciates the sentimental things, Steven made Lily a photo album of our second year together, to add to the album he made last year. On the last page he wrote instructions to add pictures from our engagement in Paris! Then he proposed, and Lily said yes (obviously - look at this guy!). He also showed Lily the videos he had taken from when he flew to California a few weeks ago to talk to Lily's family (Eugene Pesin, Sofia Pesin, Paul Pesin, Ilya Frank, Katerina Frank) about marrying her, and Lily cried. He had told her he was going out there just to take some VC meetings, but now we know he had some other plans too. Josh Sonnenfeld helped scope out the perfect restaurant in Berkeley, and Nataliya Baytalskaya had even helped him learn how to ask in Russian, which isn’t exactly an easy language. Afterwards Steven saw a dinner cruise boarding and walked over to see if we could join. Steven talked them into letting us on even though it was fully booked - after all, he already had a good track record of people telling him yes that day. We had dinner and champagne and watched the sunset over Paris, and got to spend the rest of our trip holding hands and talking about the future. It was the most romantic proposal a girl could ask for!

Lily finds this pretty cute and decides he's a keeper. -- December 31, 2017: We visit Paris for the first time on our way back - unfortunately we got food poisoning and missed most of New Years Eve but woke up at 4am on New Years Day and wandered around the city. -- December, 2018: Steven comes back to South Korea with Lily and again visit Paris for a re-do New Year's Eve.
