What started as a last day of school hangout turned into a lifetime together. We met on the last day of 8th grade when we were 14. A big group of our friends were meeting up at Mill Pond park to be angsty teenagers. Locke, not being from the same school as Lilly and her friends, was invited because he knew all the boys in the group from lacrosse. The moment we met, it felt like the world went still. We both immediately knew that we had to be in each other's lives some way, somehow. We spent a lot of time sneaking out that summer (sorry mom and dad!). We would lie on the grass and talk about life, our goals, our fears, our friends, and our family. It was easy. Throughout the years, Locke always found his way back to Lilly despite going to different schools. Eventually, Locke transferred, and we spent our senior year of high school together. Of course, young love was hard, but we always thought about each other at the end of the day and knew it was going to be us together in the end. Fast forward to now, and we truly feel like we have grown up together. We have navigated a long-distance relationship, graduated from college, started our careers, bought a house, and have become adults together. What we love about our story is that, yes, we have grown up together, but we have grown individually in the most beautiful way too. We learned how to support one another in all different stages of life and built a foundation of love, trust, and growth that we are very proud of. We can't wait to see everyone who has been on this journey with us for the past 15 years and celebrate our love. Without all of you, there would not be us!
