As much as we love all of the little ones in our friend and family groups, this is an adults (18 and over) event only.

How much can we expect to spend?

Answer

We've booked enough 2-3 bedroom condos to accommodate all guests, our treat =) , so the majority of your cost will be just your flight. Flights from Chicago are typically between low $200s to about $400 (depending on airline and schedule). All events listed in our schedule will be included (and at no cost). We will have open bars at both our beach party and private boat on Sunday. Outside of that and during free time you will find that most things in Playa del Carmen are fairly inexpensive. There is a pool side bar service at the condos where drinks will be the responsibility of guests (but the mixed drinks are reasonably priced). Guests are more than welcome to have their own outside drinks and or snacks on the property. Just make sure no glass containers.

What amenities do the condos have?

Answer

You will find everything you need in the condos. Toiletries, beach towels, washer/dryers, full kitchens, and fast internet. There is a 7/11 directly in front of the building and tons of pharmacies/ OXXO stores where you can buy any drinks/snacks you may want to stock in your unit.

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Totally up to you, but we will have two shuttles scheduled during the most popular flight times that will transport guests to the condos (about 45 min drive). The condos are walking distance to everything you will need. If you choose to rent a car, the condos come with free parking, however its a good idea to have Mexican coins to feed meters anywhere else. If you miss the shuttle and don't want to rent a car, there are private shuttles you can book (for about $150 total round trip) that will fit up to 8 and will drop you off right in front of the condos (happyshuttlecancun.com). Do I need Pesos?

Answer

It's always a good idea to have a few pesos for small purchases, but it's not necessary as most restaurants take credit cards or dollars. When using a card, make sure to select local currency when prompted and make sure you are using a credit card that doesn't charge foreign currency fees. If using an ATM, never accept the ATM currency exchange rate (as your bank will surely offer the best rate).

What will the weather be like?

Playa Del Carmen is hot all year round. You can expect to wake up to high 80's and lows will be mid 70's.
