We met at the University of Delaware in August 2013. On our first date at Peace-A-Pizza, we bonded over our love of family, music, nature and food. By October, we made our relationship official and continued to learn about each other through nature walks at White Clay Creek State Park, movie nights, and road trips to the Shenandoah Valley.

We moved to Philadelphia after graduating college and worked towards our dream jobs. We continued to feed our love of nature by having picnics along the Schuylkill River and hiking in Wissahickon Park. Chad learned how to bike in the city, earn promotions in his Energy Consultant career, and make a mean pasta dinner. Lilly learned how to play guitar, utilize public transit, and make a living singing to children.

On August 24, 2018, after 5 years of dating, Chad proposed at Lilly’s music studio. Surrounded by twinkling lights, roses, and champagne, the two decided to spend a lifetime together. They had a dance party, went out for a celebratory dinner, and walked home through their city. Perfect doesn’t begin to describe that evening.
