Tennessee Aquarium
A fun place to see penguins and touch string rays! Within our two buildings, you’ll trace the path of water from the mountains to the sea. Come face-to-face with the fascinating native animals that live in our backyards and the amazing creatures that thrive in some of the most remote locations on Earth.
Walnut Street Bridge
We went for a walk on this bridge on our first date and also got engaged on this bridge. It is a special place. The bridge was erected in 1891, the Walnut St. Bridge is one of the world's longest pedestrian bridge. It connects downtown Chattanooga to the north shore.
Coolidge Park
At Northshore's waterfront, Coolidge Park features a restored 100-year-old carousel, a pavilion, an interactive play fountain, the Outdoor Chattanooga Center and lots of open space. It is a popular destination for concerts, festivals, fundraisers and special events.
The Chattanooga Zoo at Warner Park
This is always a fun place to go. Feed a giraffe while you are there! The Chattanooga Zoo at Warner Park is a 13-acre zoological park located in Warner Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee. With over 500 animals exhibited, representing over 200 different species, many of which are endangered, the Chattanooga Zoo is committed to engaging and inspiring our community to better understand and preserve wildlife by creating meaningful connections between people and animals.
Rock City Gardens
Rock City is a true marvel of nature featuring massive ancient rock formations, gardens with over 400 native plant species, and breathtaking "See 7 States" panoramic views. Take an unforgettable journey along the Enchanted Trail where each step reveals natural beauty and wonders along the woodland path.
Brainerd Golf Course
Golf. Enough said. As one of the city's oldest, this course was designed by architect, Donald Ross, and features lots of rolling acreage and mature trees.
The Ice Cream Show
We went here on our first date. It's been a favorite ever since. I highly recommend! Funky ice cream & coffee shop popular for its customizable blended ice cream or fro-yo flavors. Located at the south end of the Walnut street walking bridge, near the Hunter Art Museum, The Ice Cream Show is a “must see” while in Chattanooga!
Taco Mamacita Northshore
Taco Mamacita is a “Fresh-Mex” restaurant specializing in funky-fusion tacos, Peruvian chicken, fresh made guacamole and amazing margaritas!
HiFi Clyde's Chattanooga
A favorite of ours! Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner! Hi-Fi Clyde’s is a bar-focused concept with a menu that features a variety of sandwiches and entrees including a handcrafted barbecue section. Hi-Fi Clyde’s features activities such as ping pong, shuffleboard, and occasionally features live music.
Public House Restaurant
A yummy place to eat that we like! Public House takes the best seafood, premium steaks, and locally sourced produce, and prepares classic Southern fair with a fresh, refined approach
Stir
STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, STIR is open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.
The Cheesecake Factory
One of our favorite places to go on a date. They have over 250 menu items, freshly prepared and from scratch, to order, every day. Over 30 legendary cheesecakes and desserts. There's something for everyone!
