We went for a walk on this bridge on our first date and also got engaged on this bridge. It is a special place. The bridge was erected in 1891, the Walnut St. Bridge is one of the world's longest pedestrian bridge. It connects downtown Chattanooga to the north shore.
At Northshore's waterfront, Coolidge Park features a restored 100-year-old carousel, a pavilion, an interactive play fountain, the Outdoor Chattanooga Center and lots of open space. It is a popular destination for concerts, festivals, fundraisers and special events.

Located at the south end of the Walnut street walking bridge, near the Hunter Art Museum, The Ice Cream Show is a “must see” while in Chattanooga!
