I moved to CCS in 10th grade. Sadly, I never interacted with Sam until my senior year. This was the year that we had the same study hall. Fortunately, we shared a mutual friend who was in that same study hall. I invited our friend, Luke, to come sit at the big round table where I was with some other friends. Luke joined us and brought Sam with him. Sam is shy and I am talkative. He warmed up to me and we started to become friends. We were very involved with YoungLife before we met each other. This soon became the place where we got to hang out together outside of school. Sam asked me to be his girlfriend on a date after eating at Buffalo Wild Wings, having ice cream at The Ice Cream Show and a walk on the Walnut Street Bridge. Little did I know that 4 years later he would recreate this special date to ask me to marry him. I still can't believe I get to marry my high school sweetheart! We started dating January 21st of 2019, got engaged December 11th of 2022, and will get married September 9th, 2023! I am so excited to start this new chapter of life with my best friend. Lillie and I met in a bit of a stranger way. We’d been attending high school together for two years now, and hadn’t spoken a word to each other yet. In such a small class, I’m not sure how we hadn’t had any sort of interaction yet. One of my best friends since middle school, my now roommate and groomsman, introduced me to Lillie one day in our study hall class. I was too shy to walk up and sit with her and her friends, but I really wanted to. After we met and became friends, I tried finding any sort of way to hang out with her or see her. I didn’t attend a women’s soccer game until I met Lillie. I hardly attended any volleyball or basketball games until I met Lillie. Now here we are, 4 years later, engaged and ready to get married. We started dating January 21st 2019, and will be getting married September 9th, 2023.
