The first time I met Lillie was on the second day of being in the dorms at UTD. Me and my roommates were walking to my car when Lillie and her roommates were walking outside to the dorm building with a bunch of groceries. They had dropped what they were carrying on accident and one of her roommates asked us for help getting their things to their dorm room. I didn't think much of it in the moment, but I did take notice of Lillie. The next day, I went to a breakfast at the dining hall with one of my roommates Nash and some people he had met. While we were waiting for the others to show up, I saw Lillie walk in and though to myself "man, she looks so good!". Little did I know, she was one of the people that was coming to the breakfast with us. She sat next to me and we started talking for what felt like for hours as the others showed up and conversed with each other. When we went to leave, I asked for her number and she gave it to me. I may have seemed calm and cool on the outside, but I was very nervous and excited on the inside. That night, we ran into each other during dinner at the dining hall without even planning it. After dinner, we went to her dorm with some friends of hers and my roommates to play board games and hang out. In that moment, I felt a special connection with Lillie that I had never felt before. 3 years later, here we are!
I first remember meeting Andrew when I had showed up to a lunch with some new friends the day after I moved to Dallas. As I walked to the table, Andrews roommate Nash, introduced him and we instantly hit it off. We talked about everything from hobbies to our favorite music and movies. He even agreed to watch ALL 8 Harry Potter movies with me! I also discovered that he was one of the very kind strangers that had carried up all my groceries for me, after my roommates and I spilled everything in the parking lot. I ran into him later that day again for dinner in the dining hall, and then our whole group headed back to my dorm to hang out. The whole time we spent laughing and as soon as he left, I texted my friends that I had met this amazing, cute and funny guy. But then he never texted me! Turns out his phone had died and he had started texting me from his roommates phones just to make sure I knew he wasn't ignoring me. That, combined with Nash asking me if Andrew and I were dating yet every time I saw him, led to our first date at a Cajun restaurant. I probably should of told him I was very allergic to shellfish before that, but either way, it clearly ended well!
