We met on a warm spring day at a wine training event at Pippin Hill Farm Vineyard. Alex was running late, as per usual, but he still had enough time to smell the honeysuckle vine walking down the parking lot. He happened to notice an unfamiliar Volvo station wagon license plate DIXI DVA in the parking lot, and thought to himself "new girl" as he entered the wine training taught by Scott Meynig. While sipping and discussing the 2012 Viognier grape, Alex and Lillie made their first look when asked to describe the nose of the wine. They both answered "Honeysuckle" and the rest is history. Alex untraditionally gave Lillie his number after the wine training, the two went on an impromptu first date at Beer Run when none of their friends showed up, and Lillie and Scout have stuck around ever since!

Lillie began working at Pippin Hill and attended her first wine training in April 2014. She didn't know a single person, but noticed the guy who said one of the wines had a nose of 'honeysuckle' at the same time she did. She really had no idea what she was saying, but gave it a shot. Afterwards, Alex gave Lillie his number and told her to put him in her phone as 'Alex T'. She found it unusual that he didn't take down her number, and was intrigued. A few weeks later Lillie and Alex had their impromptu first date, when they invited colleagues to meet at Beer Run and only they showed up. Lillie kissed Alex first, in his backyard in Belmont, in the Spring of 2014. They've been together ever since.
