Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes. There is ample parking for our guests at Stan Hywet. Guests will be able to leave their cars overnight if need be, the venue just asked that we supply them with your vehicles make and color which we can obtain the day of the event. Guests will have access to the property to pick up their cars at 10 am the following morning.

Will we have access to the Stan Hywet grounds during the event?

Answer

Yes. During our cocktail hour (6-7pm) our guests will have access to explore the grounds of the estate at Stan Hywet.

Will the event be held indoors or outdoors?

Answer

If all goes as planned the ceremony and subsequent cocktail hour will be held outside with the following reception indoors. Guests will have access to the outdoor cocktail space throughout the reception for a chance to cool down from dancing. There is a back up ceremony space in case of rain as this is Northeast Ohio and the weather can be unpredictable.

Will there be transportation to the venue?

Answer

There will not be transportation from the hotel to the venue, however, at the end of the night we have charterer a bus to make two round trips from Stan Hywet to the block hotel on Front Street. This bus will accommodate up to 28 individuals each trip. We therefore recommend car pooling to the venue if possible. If the bus fills up there is amble Uber/Lyft drivers in the Akron area.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

There will be no cellphones or photos allowed, except by our wedding photographer, during the ceremony. Otherwise, yes, photos are absolutely encouraged and welcome! We are counting on you to help capture this milestone. When sharing, please don't forget to use the hashtag: #BlechmanandWife
