Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Lidia Schroeder and Lawrence McClure
We’re so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you!
National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche

National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche

101 San Marco Avenue, St. Augustine, FL 32084
, (904) 824-2809

Our first choice for our wedding ceremony would have been at the rustic altar outside this Shrine. However, circumstances obliged us to have a summer wedding...but we didn't want you to finish the mass drenched! We do highly recommend visiting our favorite spot as this is where the first mass of the United States was celebrated.

Fountain of Youth Boulevard

Fountain of Youth Boulevard

Fountain of Youth Boulevard, Butler Beach, FL 32080

We visited this site as a potential reception venue and to our surprise learned the history of the land. From the outside it may look cheesy, but there are a lot of historical and cultural gems to discover.

Castillo de San Marcos National Monument

Castillo de San Marcos National Monument

1 S Castillo Dr, St. Augustine, FL 32084
, (904) 829-6506

This monument is on the water and if you are lucky enough can see wild dolphins swimming! It is also across the street from historic downtown St. Augustine.

Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine

Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine

38 Cathedral Place, St. Augustine, FL 32084
, (904) 824-2806

Our second choice for our wedding ceremony was the Cathedral but somehow we mixed up the available dates and had already made a deposit on our honeymoon accommodations. So the third time was a charm.... Check out the virtual tour. The Cathedral will have a free music festival that weekend June 24-26, 2022 if you would like to check it out. www.staugustinemusicfestival.org

The Hyppo Gourmet Ice Pops

The Hyppo Gourmet Ice Pops

48 Charlotte Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084
, (904) 217-7853

The bride's favorite popsicle shop to stop at when training at Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind was at 48 Charlotte St, St. Augustine, FL 32084 The story of why they named it The Hyppo is pretty neat!
