If we're flying, where should we fly into?

Answer

Portland International Airport (PDX). This will be the simplest and likely the cheapest option. You can also fly into Eugene, OR or Salem, OR but these are very small airports. Eugene is about an hour drive to Corvallis and Salem about 30 minutes - but we strongly recommend you consider Portland first as it is a major airport.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Business casual. Gals, a casual summer dress would be perfect. We also don't recommend small heels as you may sink into the grass or (sadly!) not be able to partake in the games. Guys, think khakis and a button down shirt. And very importantly, "No ties for the guys!" We want everyone to be comfortable and happy. There will be lawn games and it will be largely an outdoor wedding. Oregon is typically around 80-90 in early July (without humidity) so you'll want to dress for that.

Where are you registered?

On this website! Please see the "registry" tab. You won't see a lot of items on there because we just bought our first home in Alexandria, VA and we're hoping to do a few renovations/upgrades. We'd also love help with our honeymoon fund and we're saving to get Penelope a little four-legged sister!

What will the weather be like?

*Hopefully* it will be sunny and around 80-90 degrees, which is fairly typical for Oregon in early July. There should also not be humidity! However, Oregon tends to throw weather curve balls, so it could rain... We have a contingency plan for this, but we're choosing to stay optimistic.

What about kids?

This is a VERY kid friendly wedding! There is a playground/jungle gym right next to the venue, there will be games, and plenty of space for them to run around and have fun. We'll have arts & crafts/coloring activities as well.

How can I get to MLK Park/Walnut Barn?

Answer

There is a parking near the Walnut Barn (and if that gets full there is a neighborhood with street parking just across Walnut Blvd). Uber and Lyft are also in Corvallis. There is also the shuttle from the Marriott to the venue.

Tell me more about the shuttle from the hotel to the venue...

The “shuttle” option is officially Uber, Lyft, and Orange Taxi. We have codes for $10 off Uber and Lyft. These will be available at the hotel and at the venue.
