Five Points
As the main strip in Riverside, there is plenty to do here any time of day. Our favorites: Hawkers Asian Street Fare, Hoptinger or River and Post rooftop (for small bites and cocktails with a view), Prospect Five Points, Sushi Cafe, Brew Five Points (for breakfast and coffee), Tijuana Flats, and Hovan Gourmet Mediterranean. Head to Memorial Park if you want to hang out and enjoy the weather, stroll through the beautiful Cummer Museum and Gardens, the Riverside Arts Market under the bridge on Saturdays, and/or catch a movie at the local theater.
Springfield
Cute restaurants, breweries, beautiful Victorian houses with wrap around porches, and a spacious park. Restaurants: Uptown kitchen, Strings Sports Bar, Crispy's, Silkie's Breweries: Main & Six and Hyperion Park: Henry J. Klutho Park
Avondale
Cute local shops and restaurants. Our favorites are Biscotti's (desserts are a must!), Brick, Southern Grounds & Company, and Whit's Frozen Custard
San Marco
Visit to catch a movie at the local theater, grab a bite at Town Hall or the Loop (or many other options), and take a stroll through the square.
Downtown
Check to see if there are any sporting events in the Sports Complex. Our favorites: Restaurants: Indochine, Estrella Cocina (rooftop) Drinks: Intuition Ale Works, Manifest Distillery

Just ~30 minutes from downtown! Jacksonville, Atlantic, and Mickler's to name a few.
