Kate and I met in 2017 at The University of Lynchburg. We had an 8 AM Biology class together where we both showed up still asleep, needless to say, we sat next to each other but didn't talk until the class took a trip to DC. After that, we were inseparable. We have since helped each other through the many rough times in life, she became the friend that I didn't know I so desperately needed. Kate made college a fun and memorable time for me, when it could have easily been the opposite. She gave me strength and confidence during a period where I had lost so much. She helped me accomplish things I couldn't have done alone. Kate and I have shared countless laughs, usually at our own expense. We've had endless dance parties in the car. Far too many sleepless nights studying. We graduated together while smothering in unbearable heat. Kate is easily the smartest person I know. She is currently earning her doctorate of dental surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University and will graduate in May of 2025. I have never been so proud of her. I hope everyone is lucky enough to have a Kate in their life.

Madison and I have been friends since sixth grade. We met in art class, but our friendship really took off when we were at a birthday sleepover that same year. We were told to "go to sleep" but instead we hid under a hotel room dining table and ate birthday cake and giggled until we got in trouble. After that we had sleepovers, bought RedBox movies, ate lots of ice cream at Mr. Goodies, went to school dances together, and bonded over us both having very old Pugs, Josie and Lexi, as family pets. Maddie has helped me through the worst times of my life, she was by my side the day Dad passed. She and her family grounded me when I felt like a shell of myself, and she was there for me until I was able to pick myself up again. She is, hands down, the funniest person I have ever met (sorry Caleb). When I'm around her I laugh until I look like I'm sobbing. Laughing with Maddie heals me in ways I cannot explain. She is the kind of friend that makes life more fun, and we've made memories I'll never forget. Madison is also annoyingly talented. She can draw AND paint, she can do event hair like shes been doing it her whole life, she makes the best bacon and pancakes, and she makes her bed like an ad in a magazine. She is naturally good at everything. As if all this wasn't enough, Madison is a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse at . She saves the lives of babies every day. I'm not sure where I would be without her, I don't take her for granted for a second.

Taylor and I have been friends for over 10 years, we met in middle school. Tay is one of the first to ever call me "Lii Lii." If I remember correctly, we were on opposite sides of the classroom when she randomly starting calling out to me over and over, in a song-like fashion, to get my attention. If you're familiar with Spongebob, it was like when the Flying Dutchman told Spongebob and Patrick to "howl" before setting sea, then Patrick kept howling "leedle leedle le." No? Okay anyways... Tay and I became close when we got a job working at Logan's Roadhouse together as hostesses, Maddie worked with us too. We were skilled at sneaking the rolls, other than free rolls the job sucked. Tay and I quit around the same time to work at a local restaurant. That same week my Dad passed. Once I went back to work, Tay and I would make sure to work the same shifts. In the summer, no matter how busy we were, we would find time to go out and look at the sunset. We worked together through college, some of my favorite memories with Tay are from that time in our lives. Tay has always been the friend who will answer the phone no matter what. She always knows what I need to hear. Her laugh makes me so happy. She gives the best hugs, the kind you didn't know you needed. She's genuine, silly, brave, empathetic, passionate, and just sunshine in human form. Tay now travels as a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT. However, her real talents are; cooking, baking, and intoxicated cartwheeling.

You know those people you meet, who become your best friend fast, yet it feels like you've been friends forever? That's Kayia. She and I had mutual friends for years, but we became really close in 2022. Kayia has been through more than most of us can imagine, yet she is still one of the most beautiful humans on this planet. Kayia has taught me so much in such a short amount of time. She's taught me to love and appreciate the simple things in life, she's taught me to be patient when it seems impossible. She taught me that friendship should be easy, and being yourself is something you shouldn't have to think about. She taught me how to actually relax, how to take time for yourself, and how doing that makes those around you happier because of it. She taught me that being a weirdo is so much fun. She taught me how to cook butternut squash (super important). She has opened the door to friendships and family that I didn't know I needed. She teaches me more all the time. There is nothing more valuable than a friend who helps you grow, Kayia is proof of that. She does all of this without trying, without knowing the impact she has on others, she does it by just being herself. Kayia is a selfless human being in the purest form. I am so lucky to have her as a friend. She is someone I can talk to about anything. She's the coolest wife to Ryan. She finds the best stuff at thrift stores. She thinks it's funny to try and make me like carrots. Oh, and she makes really good mashed potatoes.

Kat and I met in 2020 when she started dating her now husband, Jesse. Caleb and Jesse had been friends for a while, so when Jesse started dating Kat the four of us spent a lot of time together. She quickly became a great friend to me. Kat is one of those people who just brings light into your life. She's a generous human being who always wants her friends and family to feel welcome and loved. Kat and I have spent a lot of time planning surprises for Jesse, Caleb, and each other. Surprise birthday parties, Christmas gifts, scavenger hunts, and engagement parties. Anyone who has ever planned a surprise for someone knows it isn't an easy task, but Kat and I make a great team. The four of us took a trip to Ireland in 2023. Kat planned the whole thing! If you know me, you know I live for a good plan. Kat booked the two of us a horseback ride through a farm in Ireland while the boys were off golfing. It's one of my favorite memories from our trip. Although I haven't been on a horse since I was little, Kat has a lot of experience. Both of our horses were set on stopping to snack for most of the ride, until it was time to trot. Kat knew exactly what she was doing, and made it look easy! My horse tricked me, sped up a little, then walked, then took off! I must have looked like a fool, but Kat and I just laughed and she told me I did a great job. We've made lots of memories since 2020 and I cherish them all. Her love for life inspires me, and I'm so thankful for her.

Ash is my big sissy. Growing up we went through some really tough moments, some tough years, plenty of fights (we shared a bedroom until I was seventeen), we spent most of our time annoying each other. Even in the midst of all that, she was always the one who I could be myself around no matter what. No matter how much we would fight growing up, we would laugh together even more. We had inside jokes, and stayed up too late laughing, we did each other's hair, and she hot-glued a piece of plastic to my nose once. In kindergarten, I made her walk me to my homeroom every morning, she would refuse and I would simply dig my nails into her hands until she agreed. She still has the scars to prove it. Our relationship has changed since then, to say the least. We understand each other, we are friends just as much as sisters. We still laugh at really dumb things, something i'm certain we will never grow out of. She reminds me of our Dad in simple ways that let me know he is closer than we think. After Daddy passed we were faced with challenges alongside heartbreak, I think both of us had an unspoken understanding that from that point forward we could get through anything together. Now Ash has her own family, she and Zach are parents to two perfect girls, Clover and Lyla, and I got upgraded to "Auntie!" She is the best Mama on earth, and an even better Sissy. She is my lifelong best friend and I am more and more thankful for her each and every day.

Caylla and I met in 2020 and became friends instantly. By the end of the night we were sitting in the living room singing along to 2000's country music for hours. She has the voice of an angel and I can't sing to save my life, yet she kept playing song after song. Since then we have become more like sisters. I knew after that day that Caylla would be a part of my life no matter what. She and I understand each other as if we've been friends for a lifetime. She inspires me, she's someone I know I can talk to about anything. She reminds me to be myself no matter what. She is strong, and compassionate with a heart so big I can't wrap my mind around it. Caylla has a love for animals that is unmatched. She and I often dream of owning a dog sanctuary on a huge piece of land so we can take in every sweet pup who needs a home. We could live in a shack on that land and be perfectly happy. Caylla has her own "little" zoo of furbabies that she loves with all her heart. Six kitties; Emmit, Mowgli, Zazu, Eva, Simone, and Bentley. The six pups; Q, Bruno, Rusty, Winston-Enrique, Leonardo, and Donatello. It's safe to say she has started our pet sanctuary already, and I can't blame her. Caylla is a Veterinary Technician and also owns her own pet-sitting and dog-walking business. Her love for other people's pets is just as strong as her love for her own. Caylla is the kind of woman I look up to, I am so grateful for her friendship and sisterhood. I can't imagine this life without her.
