Yes! Liana and Evan still plan to get married on October 3rd, 2020. As of now, there are no restrictions on attendance for the wedding. If at any point that changes, we'll let everybody planning to attend know as soon as possible.
Yes! We've had to make some adjustments, but we're committed to making this celebration happen!
As many of you all have heard, hurricane Sally caused some pretty significant damage to Pensacola and Pensacola Beach when it came through last week. Thankfully we are safe and only had relatively minor damage to our home! Now that we’ve cleaned up and have power back we wanted to let y’all know how this will impact the wedding. Thankfully, our reception venue is still intact and the reception will go on in downtown Pensacola as planned! Unfortunately 3 mile bridge, the main route between downtown and the beach, was damaged by runaway construction barges during the storm and will not be open anytime soon. The alternate route will take approximately 45mins-1 hour to get from downtown/the airport out to the beach. Currently, we plan to move our ceremony from the beach to our reception venue and host the welcome party Friday night in our backyard.
If you currently have a hotel or condo booked on Pensacola Beach, I highly recommend you get in touch with them and check if any damages were sustained and if you’ll be able to access the property the weekend of Oct 3rd. If your reservation is canceled or you’d like to rebook elsewhere, we recommend one of the following options: * A hotel in downtown Pensacola if you’d like to be close to the celebration * A hotel out at Navarre Beach, which was less impacted, if you’d still like a beach trip and don’t mind approximately a 50 min drive to the wedding If you don’t feel comfortable traveling to Pensacola while the city is still in the midst of hurricane cleanup, we completely understand, we simply ask that you let us know before Friday so we can update our caterer.
We want everyone to have fun and be safe at our wedding! In order to facilitate that, we're keeping the ceremony and reception outdoors and spread out as much as possible. Should we need to move indoors due to inclement weather, the indoor space at our venue is large and masks will be required for staff and guests. We also ask that you choose to wear a mask when closely interacting with people you aren't regularly around, even if doing so outdoors. We'll have extra masks and hand sanitizer available if you need either. While far from an ideal situation, we plan to choose some fun masks and make the best of it, and hope you'll do the same!
If you're an at risk individual or simply uncomfortable with traveling or events right now, please don't feel pressured to attend our wedding celebration! We completely understand and don't want to put any of our family or friends into a situation where they don't feel safe. While we don't plan to livestream the ceremony, we'll happily share photos afterwards.
Yes! The beaches are open and there's plenty of room to enjoy them while safely distancing. Shops and restaurants are open in downtown Pensacola and on Pensacola Beach. While in Pensacola City Limits, masks are required indoors so make sure to pack one! Masks aren't uniformly required indoors on Pensacola Beach, but we would highly recommend wearing one or choosing takeout or outdoor dining instead.
Please reach out to us via the email listed below or shoot either of us a call/text and we'll happily update your RSVP for you!
