Sunriver Resort

We have a room block at the Sunriver Resort. Reservations may be made through Hotel’s Reservation Department by calling 855-420-8206 and referring to the Cullen-Greenamyre Wedding. Room rates are $169/night plus tax and a 15% resort fee. If you're staying at the resort, you'll get access to the spa (lap pool, hot tub, steam room, fitness center) and shuttle service around the resort and surrounding area (highly recommended... Uber’s are hard to come by). You'll also be minutes away from Sunriver Village, featuring necessities like groceries and outdoor gear as well as Sunriver Brewing for casual dinner. For larger parties, you can also book a vacation rental house - please book through the hotel's reservation department for both options. Flight

RDM - Bend, Oregon

If you choose to fly directly into Bend, you'll want to fly into RDM, which is about 45 minutes from Sunriver. Connections on major airlines are likely available through SEA, SFO, or PDX.

PDX - Portland, Oregon

Sunriver is about a 3-hour drive from Portland, but you'll be able to get a direct flight.

Rental Car

Up to you!

There are a few options to get from the Bend/Redmond airport (RDM) to Sunriver (a ~45 minute drive). 1) Car rentals are available at the airport. If you rent a car, we recommend 4-wheel drive as there may be some snow. 2) Taxis are available at the airport. 3) You can book a car service, such as Sunriver Towncar & Tours (www.sunrivertowncarandtours.com, 541-706-0626). 4) You can call the Sunriver resort at 800-801-8765 to arrange a shuttle pickup from the airport (up to 5 passengers, $80 for the first person, $10 for each additional person). 5) You should be able to get an Uber or Lyft from the airport to Sunriver. To get back to the airport from Sunriver, please use one of the following options: 1) Car service (see details above) 2) Sunriver Resort shuttle (see details above; they can pick up from anywhere in Sunriver and drive to airport). DO NOT count on being able to get a taxi, Uber, or Lyft to pick up within Sunriver.

Weather

Sunriver is a beautiful winter wonderland. But, that means that there's likely to be cold weather and some snow. Please plan accordingly (especially you Atlanta people)! None of the ceremony or reception will be outdoors, but make sure you bring a good pair of boots, a heavy jacket, hat, gloves, etc. - especially if you want to partake in some outdoor activities (e.g., skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snow mobiles, etc.) which is highly recommended. Be careful when driving! The roads and pedestrian trails are typically plowed and salted promptly, but there could be snow and ice on the roads. We recommend a 4-wheel drive car with good tires if you're driving or renting a car. Or, feel free to rely on the shuttle service. Sunriver has all the comforts of home, and you'll be staying in a luxury resort, but it's also a bit remote. There may not be great availability of ride shares or taxis.

Transportation In Sunriver

If you're staying in Sunriver Resort (either the River Lodges or Lodge Village), it is a very short walk to the Great Hall where the wedding will be held. There are walking paths between all of the buildings in Sunriver Resort, and they are kept well shoveled. If you'd like to wear boots to walk over and then change your footwear, Jaye has graciously offered to let you stash boots in her dressing room. Sunriver Resort offers shuttle service that will pick up and drop off anywhere within Sunriver (not just the resort). Rides are $5/trip, and you can text the front desk to reserve a shuttle. Please text ~30 minutes in advance, especially for the ceremony to make sure you show up on time. Shuttles will be available to take you from the venue to where you're staying after the event.
