Flight
Auckland International Airport (AKL)
New Zealand has a few international airports, however, we recommend you arrive at the Auckland International Airport (AKL) as this is the nearest (& likely the cheapest to fly into). There are several airlines flying into Auckland from around the globe. See below for our recommendations. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to either of us and we will be more than happy to help. From UK/Europe: There are many ways to get to Auckland depending on the airline you choose. We have trialed a few (you may have heard a story or two!) and can make some educated recommendations. Liam has flown from London to Auckland with Singapore Airlines and highly rates them. They have a layover in Singapore which splits the journey nicely into two legs of 12hrs. Their rates for April 2024 currently range between GBP 1,200 - 1,500 return per person*. www.singaporeair.com From the USA: Air New Zealand offers a direct flight from various cities. Have a look at their site for all flight options. From our experience, we recommend traveling through Houston as it breaks up the journey nicely and the airport is less hectic than others. Their rates for April 2024 currently range between ~ USD 1,800 - 2,200 return per person*. www.airnewzealand.com From Uruguay: The most direct route from Uruguay is through Santiago de Chile with Latam Airlines. Their rates for April 2024 currently range between ~USD 1,700 - 2,000 return per person* www.latamairlines.com * Note that the rates provided above are only an indication taken from each airline's website as of August 2023.
House Or Rental
Clevedon
The wedding venue is approximately a 45min drive from Auckland CBD. As such if you are traveling for the wedding, we recommend that you spend the wedding night at nearby accommodation. Have a look at the Clevedon town webpage (link below) which has some accommodation options. Alternatively, there are plenty of stays on AirBnB or booking.com. There is a wide range of options ( & therefore price) with various houses catering to large groups.
Shuttle
Shuttle to the Ceremony

We will organize a shuttle service from nearby accommodation to the venue and a transfer back at the end of the night. Please let us know on your RSVP if you'd like to be included, as spaces will be limited.
Rental Car
Getting Around
If you are traveling from out of town for the wedding, you will need a vehicle to get around Auckland. Unfortunately, once you leave the central city area public transport is not our greatest asset and Uber (or taxis) can get pretty expensive. We have used and would recommend Omega Car Rentals, which is an NZ-owned company. www.omegarentalcars.com. Alternatively, most of the major international rental companies operate in NZ. Have a look on a trusted site of your choice for various options, such as booking.com, expedia.com, etc. If you are planning on exploring New Zealand before/after the wedding, we would HIGHLY recommend renting a motorhome.
