This is where we got engaged and it is an iconic landmark in Auckland. It offers 360° views of the city, restaurants, and amongst other things, bungy jumping!
Auckland has been built over 53 volcanos, so you can't go far without spotting one. We would recommend the walk up Mt. Eden which shows impressive (&free) views over all of central Auckland. And while you are in Mt. Eden, head to the village and grab yourself a cuppa or a pint, as we did on our first date.
Auckland is also known as the City of Sails, so head down to the viaduct for a stroll and a bite to eat. You can take in the sites during the day or dance the night away (until 2 am, haha).
One of the things we most love about New Zealand, and Auckland in particular is that you don't have to go far to get to a beach. You can go east to Mission Bay, north to Takapuna, or if you'd like to see something completely different head west to Piha or Muriwai for volcanic black sand beaches.
